Haven't seen a cat. yet, Jamie, or any TV promos. Which UFO set was it? For Perth folks, Toyworld Innaloo is no longer trading. I am currently using my parallel port for the same application. I am not sure how specific your question was, but the output voltage is 5Vdc.
