Re: New 'Combo Build' Contest at Brickworld 2009!

(...) Yeah...we need some more life around this place. What better way than random banter on a Brickworld thread. :-) (...) No problem B-ry. You're my homie...I got your back. :-) (...) That sounds like a dirty little secret to me. Let the rumor (...) (15 years ago, 3-Jun-09, to lugnet.events.brickworld)

Re: You have a friend in me...

(...) That's okay (well, mostly okay). I understand they're capable of taking orders over the phone, since Chris bought several cases of tiles from multiple LEGO stores about two years ago. (15 years ago, 2-Jun-09, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: New 'Combo Build' Contest at Brickworld 2009!

(...) Jordan is correct. There will be a fish bowl (or a shoe box) to drop your name/ticket into. The drawing will be held at 6:30 PM Friday evening at the LEGO Company's display area in the event hall. You must be present to win (or at least be (...)   Re: LEGO Queen Mary 2 - Making-of

(...) Hi Travis, well, it weighs a lot :-) In fact, it's something about 850 to 900 kilograms. The metric ton is 1000kg, but if I'm right, the imperial unit "ton" should be a little bit more than 900kg (2000lbs). I built many parts of the (...) (15 years ago, 3-Jun-09, to lugnet.boats, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Queen Mary 2 - Making-of

(...) All I can say is, wow! When you say "a ton of LEGO bricks", do you mean that literally? (The word "ton" is frequently used as a figure of speech in English to simply mean that something weighs a lot. I don't think that's what you mean, but I'm (...)   Re: LDraw.exe removed from distribution?

(...) I don't know if you're the only one who does this, but doing so will also cause LDView's library update to fail, since those notes are the only files that allow LDView to know what has been installed. --Travis (15 years ago, 2-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Assembled parts, ~ and categories

(...) There is one document that introduced this. (URL) found we have different problems to solve: 1) Usage of the tilde '~' for files in the \s folder. 2) Usage of the tilde '~' for files in the \parts folder 3) Is the tilde '~' part of the (...) (15 years ago, 3-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: 8879 no more?

Glad I ordered mine early! Any word on if there's something that needs to be fixed with the ones that escaped from the factory, or was it solely a production issue? -Stefan- (15 years ago, 3-Jun-09, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New 'Combo Build' Contest at Brickworld 2009!

It will likely still involve putting your ticket[s] in the box for this event, just like the last two years. (15 years ago, 3-Jun-09, to lugnet.events.brickworld)

Re: New 'Combo Build' Contest at Brickworld 2009!

(...) Not sure if that's a good idea. But just in case... :) Steve (15 years ago, 3-Jun-09, to lugnet.events.brickworld)

  Re: 8879 no more?

(...) Steve Witt of LEGO was able to get me a quick reply regarding the 8879 controller. "There was a production problem with that one and it will be released later this summer. there was just a bump in the road on getting it out on time :-) But yes (...)   Looking for Wheel and Tyre DAT files

Hi all, I've been building a lot of Technic sets in MLCAD lately and find myself lacking in a certain wheel and tyre combination. The wheel is (URL) 41896>. This is a Technic Racing wheel which is smaller than the other two, also called Race Buggy (...) (15 years ago, 2-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Assembled parts, ~ and categories

(...) I'd also like to chime in here to agree with Willy. To make a rubber hose or a minifig chain with LSynth, you must first position the 2 end parts manually. So you need to be able to find them in your parts list. The synth process will place (...) (15 years ago, 3-Jun-09, to lugnet.cad)
