Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked!

(...) Simply put, I'll wait until I get to play with them to judge them. It's a little hard for me to form a realistic opinion based on a couple of boxcover pictures near the limit of resolution. (...) Actually, you're partially mistaken. The NXT (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Hobby Train Instructions PDF?

(...) Producing instructions is something I'd like to do, but I've have to do an Ldraw import, a reorder of parts/stages and then relearn LPub so I thinks its not going to happen! If I do any I'll post them Tim (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Hobby Train Instructions PDF?

(...) Are you asking for the default model (the large Swiss engine)? I understand the alternate models are only available on-line anyway. Can't say, though, as I only ordered my two hobby train sets last week when I found them to be on sale on S@H (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked!

Hi Fernando, thanks for the update - I'm afraid I am somewhere between feelings on these new sets. For one, I agree with all who think that replacing real pneumatics with anything lookalike is not exactly the way to go. I shall be curious about the (...)   Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked!

(...) I'd pretty much agree with that appraisal, it looks like the Telehandler doesn't even self level, which is the whole point. Unless the liner actuators have metal bearings their gonna stink. My pessimistic side says this is just another money (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Getting BrickJournal

(...) Joe, You probably know but the site (twomorrows.com) is still down. I have to say it doesn't give one much faith in the publisher to have the site unavailable for days. I would like to order BrickJournal but I don't just want to send a check (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, lugnet.general, FTX)

If you haven't ever taken a close look at the Scarecrow pumpkin bombs from the Bat-copter set, I suggest really examining the mouth: (URL) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.licensed.batman, lugnet.fun)

  Hobby Train Instructions PDF?

Are there any PDF's available for the 10183 Hobby Train building instructions? Thanks, Daniel (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked!

Yes, I would prefer real pneumatic cylinders too! And longer like these. It seems a way to enable "easy" motorization of these elements, instead of developing a new PF pneumatic valve electrically controlled. Perhaps also a cheaper approach... I (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: New TECHNIC sets for Fall 2008. Box images leaked!

(...) However now that I have seen them I am quite dissapointed and I can't see me buying any of them. It is very good to see them investing in new part designs but this is such a cop out. If they had longer pneumatics (powered by air) then that (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Four sets reviewd, but only one good one, so be warned!

(...) That's all true, but the underlying fact is that they still sell more total volume to the EU than they do to all of North America, and between the US and Canada there is more geographical area involved. In other words, even though distribution (...) (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: Getting BrickJournal

Has anyone actually managed to download the issue 9 pdf? I have been trying for ages and keep getting error messages. I would be very grateful if someone could post a working link to the last free issue of the magazine. cheers Tara (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.publish.brickjournal, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Four sets reviewd, but only one good one, so be warned!

(...) You are right. For example, S@H doesn't ship to the Czech Republic. (Is it a bureaucratical issue? Is it a trade-off for lower taxes?) The prices also differ among countries. (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

  Re: set technic 2008

(...) E' un peccato che abbiano messo il Power Function in quel gippone... avrei preferito l'escavatore (tra l'altro ha nuovi elementi pneumatici, o sbaglio?) Luca (17 years ago, 6-Jan-08, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)
