Actually, I like that idea just fine. I'm already halfway through a plan for a national bank (which dwarfs the dinky one just released by Lego for 1998-99.). There is even a drive-thru teller window. (...) I made a more scaled container awhile back. check out (URL) I have since changed the car that carrys the container, to a shared bogie unit. With 4 containers long stacked two containers high. (...) Mike, Nope. Got tired of the limitations of the flat-file layout of EA and wrote a true SQL based script... Perl accessing MySQL. Mostly MOC except for some DB access routines. According to my experience, Those parts are come with an extra: Always: Dark Grey 2/3 pin Grey Half Pin Grey Half Bush (both smooth and w/tooth versions) Rubber Bands (smaller ones) 8 Tooth Gear 1x1 Round Plates (all colors) 1x1 Tiles (all colors) (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

Wow! Great concept and implementation. The music is perfect. I love how you made the tree fall, hit the back side, turn, and fall into the truck. I wonder if we'll ever see brown trees from TLG. But the weight issue isn't always the reason for extra pieces. Set #8247, the Technic Road Rebel, is a little 47-piece set. It has 3 extra Technic bits: a smooth half-bush, a full bush, and 3/4 pin. I haven't found any reason for those extra pieces. (...) (25 years ago, 1-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)

But the extra width can be as little as 4 inches a side (in fact on some spine cars it's 0) which in a total width of 10 feet is less than LEGO resolution.
