  More Trolley Pics

I took some more (URL) better> (sic) pics of my trolley. Some points of interest: One pic has Ross posed in front of it to give an idea of its size. These pics show it posed on some Aristo G scale trucks. The trolley itself is built to about (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) Well, simple straights and curves could easily be made with flexible rails and individual ties, but many of the specialized track pieces that seem to be of real interest to the hobby are complex crossovers and points. Those would require (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) Scott pretty much summed up my concern over this one. Get a commercial entity involved, and you're in danger of crossing the line for patent infringement. I doubt they'd ever go after Ondrew for his hand-modded track (indeed, since he uses (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) As problematic as it is for long term track maintainence, and modifying track, it's actually a very simple solution to an ugly problem. Have you ever noticed how regular model railroaders link two sections of track together so power will be (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: New Mecha

(...) I'm diggin it. Interesting way of lifting the A-wing canopy. It has a very Task Force Serpent era feel. Look forward to seeing what else you can bring to the 'Shere. F (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Introducing Lic - Lego Instruction Creator (pre-alpha)

(...) Hi Remi, I got your email today. I don't know why I didn't notice or respond to the previous emails. WYSIWIG LPub (4.0) is moderatly far along. I started on it shortly after returning from Brickfest PDX in Portland. You use the GUI to get the (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

  Re: The Future of Trains

(...) Ok well I'm not really OUT out. But out in terms of not buying new stuff, like the battery stuff, I passed on, since I had no interest in those kind of sets. If the new power system they are talking about is as bad as the battery system then I (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego)

Re: Introducing Lic - Lego Instruction Creator (pre-alpha)

(...) Hi Kevin, I was hoping to hear from you! Yep, I knew you were working on a WYSIWYG LPub - you've mentioned the idea here in the past. I just had no idea how far along you were, or if you had even started. I tried contacting you a handful of (...) (17 years ago, 4-Oct-07, to lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

  Re: The Future of Trains

On the positive side of things, the new battery trains run fine on my old blue track, and the new plastic-only track is a whole lot cheaper than the old electrified track. I also like that useful 4-way switch they introduced. Electrified track gives (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: RailBricks Issue 1

(...) Hi Ronald! Thanks for the compliments. It may seem a bit ironic that the release of the first issue coincided with the 9V announcement, but it was by accident, really. I had planned to launch the magazine two weeks ago, but was then asked to (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

  Re: Spyshot: 18 wide Trolley

(...) Yup. Old gray. (...) Well, this MOC is actually a digression from my G scale course, because I've basically built it around the dark blue curved slopes. So I think this trolley is about 1:18 scale, or basically miniland scale (1:20). Of (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Spyshot: 18 wide Trolley

  Re: 7996 Metalized

(...) Hi all, here some more info: There's no secret in it. It's just an prototype of the 7996 point with adhesive copper tape that i tinned / soldered with a solder iron using solder 60/40, witch means 60% lead and 40% tin. The used copper tape (i (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LEGO 9V Train Communication

(...) Era un bel nome, ci avevo anche pensato, se non fosse per l'assonanza a "Truck" sicché c'era il rischio di trovarsi il raduno pieno di camionisti ;-) LOL Luca (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: LEGO 9V Train Communication

LEGO vuole tenere (...) (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Why LDraw.org doesn't use ldconfig.ldr ???

(...) I'd be happy to try, but it would require some things: An admin to install xvfb on the server An admin to give me a user account on the server to get it working Possible admin support if other dependencies are missing on the server As a note, (...)   Re: The Future of Trains

(...) Any idea how much weight was being pulled? 20 flatcars could be lighter than 20 boxcars. That amount of run time with that many cars does sound promising though. -Elroy (17 years ago, 3-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: 7996 Metalized
