  Re: Anyone out there?

(...) Hmmm...well, the Turnpike hits I-287, which you take north to Stelton Road exit where there's a lot of food and so forth. Head south on that road and the first major intersection is Centennial Avenue; hang a left and the Wal-Mart is about 1/3 (...)   Sound

I wanted to make the RCX make a certain pitched sound based on sensor readings the other day (primarily the light sensor), however it appears you can't make the frequency of the command equal to a variable. Does anyone know why this is and if there (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I thought that was clay. That was on those cogs when they were donated by Todd. If you think you can get it off without distorting the plastic, it would be worth a try. I just happen to be allergic to most forms of mold and (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Silas in Vancouver

I just sort of assumed that other Vancouver LEGO aficionados would notice the 'new kid'. I mean, LEGO people kind of stand out in a crowd, even if it is a few million in size. Randy Silas P <silasp@uvic.ca> wrote in message (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.ca.bc.van)

(...) I got the box from Ben today. I just saw a bunch'o green mold on one of the bigger yellow cogs. I just happen to be allergic to most forms of mold and fungus.   Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

I must be a little confused here. Are there 2 Technic boxes floating around? Did I miss something? I will admit that I am not too savvy reading Todd's web based news, and the original 'technic box' thread disappeared from my newsreader weeks ago. (...)   Re: Lego man

(...) That reminds me--I got my first 8880 a week ago, replaced the V8 with a more realistic looking V12, added scissor doors, and covered all surfaces with bricks and/or plates. It's a lot heavier, and sags a bit on the suspension. If you try to (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: House with porch

(...) I feel the same way, but I think the reason there aren't many LDrawn buildings is that LEdit isn't particularly well suited for large constructions.   Re: Where are all the boxes?

Re: Where are all the boxes?

I hadn't heard the term before but yes, the boxes in question are exactly what you've described as a "Lego bee". To answer your questions: There is no set number of people involved.   Re: Poor man's Tachometer

(...) Would sandwiching a rubber band in place of the 1/2 height rings give you enough spacing? A single white band could probably be wrapped around both of the cross-axles, and it would keep the Lego-purists happy. I like your design--it's the most (...)   Re: Cleanliness of the pieces

I've found a nice cleaner that removes just about anything, including smoke smell - Lysol Kitchen Cleaner. It leaves a nice citrusy smell too ;-) If this is the Technic box, and you don't have time to clean them, I'll soak them for a day or 2 in it, (...)   Re: Where are all the boxes?

Since I'm new to this site, I got real courious when I saw this. What are these boxes? Are they a Lego bee? Where someone starts a box, and it goes from person to person each one adding pieces they don't need and taking those they need? How many (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Cleanliness of the pieces

All, I feel that we need to reach a consensus on how sanitary these boxes should be. Obviously, fingerprint oils and minor dirt and such should be expected. But suppose someone were to receive a box with, say, moldy bricks? What should that someone (...) (25 years ago, 31-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
