  Re: Aaaa...aaargh!!!!!!!

(...) E chi lo vuole Maj ora? Brickshelf era bello perché era solo Lego. Se devo andare su un sito generalista, meglio usarne uno più famoso, più moderno e più affidabile. Ciao Gabriele -- gb@@biffuz..it (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: Brickshelf and the AFOL community

(...) Hmm. If Brickshelf was attracting plenty of money through advertising, why would its owner close it down? Unless we think Kevin is joining a monastery and devoting himself to a life of poverty, that's not rational behaviour. If Bricklink was (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)

  Re: countdown to Target sales

(...) I saw the new station set and the latest AT-ST set at Box Hill Target the other day. No guarantee they'll be available everywhere though. ROSCO (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  countdown to Target sales

I keep seeing all these "X days to the Target Toy Sale". Does anyone know if there are likely to be any interesting goodies at this toy sale? I'm afraid I've seen so little of interest in Target for so long that I don't even bother to check any (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Brickshelf.com – A Possible Solution

Why doesn't TLG run a gallery for AFOLs? Yes, there's a (URL) sort of gallery> on LEGO.com, but it's an unbrowsable mess filled with 10-year-olds posting images they stole from Ed Boxer. Have any of the Ambassadors discussed this with the company? I (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Nuovo Bricx CC

(17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Rebuilding the TCLTC site

With the sudden disappearance of Brickshelf (which hosted nearly all of our images), our web site has been temporarily devoided of images. We are working to restore them, so please be patient while we undergo this arduous task! JOHN (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.trains.org.tcltc, FTX)

Re: Castle exclusive to Big W & no large castle for .au

(...) I was talking to my local Toyworld staff the other day about it and apparently in this case "exclusive" means exclusive for a few months. The new castle stuff will not be there until September/October and the new Mars Mission stuff is not (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Brickshelf.com – A Possible Solution

(...) Ditto. I'm a Perl guy, and I believe the existing Brickshelf code is written in Perl. I'd love to see the code be released as an open source project (unlikely if Kevin intends to continue with maj.com but I can always hope), and would be happy (...)   Re: Problems with Brickshelf?

(...) Another thing about Flickr - you can get the Flickr Uploadr program (for Mac or Windows) to do drag-n-drop uploading of images. It's sooooo much easier than creating a zip file or uploading one file at a time on Brickshelf. Also by getting a (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)

Re: Is it possible to run lego trains outdoors?

Re: Brickshelf and the AFOL community

  Re: Problems with Brickshelf?

I am with you all the way, Jake. I think Flickr is an incredible deal, and one that will probably be around for a long time thanks to it being integrated with Yahoo and with the revenue streams from printing, etc. For $25 a year I can archive my (...) (17 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.general)
