  Back after 5 years - trying to catch up
 
After a 5 year vacation from lego I am trying to catch up. I've already skimmed the LDraw site, BayLug, Brickshelf, BrickLink, Shipyard, and Moonbase. I looked at the .space roll call, but it has not been updated since 2003. The .space timeline was (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.space)

Ahoy mateys! The convention theme for NWBrickCon 2007 this year is . . . Pirates! We'll be having a special emphasis on the brick's buccaneers and encourage everone to bring Pirate-related models. I finally built something. Not a spaceship, nor a building. Not micro, or minifig scale. (...) Sorry. I guess I didn't fully understand why you wanted to do the pre-multiplies. Hopefully this reply will be closer to what you are looking for. LDView 1.0 did exactly what you suggest. Basically you keep 1 copy of the object with its vertices in their original position (local or model space). You take the local to world, world to view, view to projection and projection to viewport matrices and multiply them to get a single (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.cad)
