I’ve always thought it was:
Mech = big robot with a human pilot, no gun.
Mecha = big robot with a human pilot, big gun.
I don’t really grok mechs/mechas that much though, so I am probably wide of
the mark there.

| (...) Or grok the fullness even. Robopussy, strictly speaking, is neither mech nor mecha, but it uses a lot of the same build techinques, so this seemed like the best place to post it. I call it a 'big-fig'. (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
