  Re: T-16 Skyhopper

I really liked your designs on your web page. I built the B-wing and changed the cockpit connector with a peice from a droid fighter. Much more stable. I was wondering where you got the cad program that let you draw your schematics. Very interested. (...) (25 years ago, 29-Aug-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Australian LEGO find

Congrats on the find ! As a fairly recent reawakened, reilluminated , or however they describe it, AFOL , I still appreciate the emotions of discovery during digging thru an unknown box. I lucked into a collection of older mini figs when a young (...) (25 years ago, 29-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: tuff 'tainer storage (was Re: help me spend some money!)

I guess both storage boxes have their place. The WorkForce box is embossed for non-slip stacking, and its largest compartment holds an RCX. One box holds an entire 8480 Space Shuttle kit with some care in packing. Al Thiele (...) (25 years ago, 29-Aug-99, to lugnet.storage, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Train doors and windows

The parts are train doors (L & R), 2x3 and 4x3 train windows, the glass to go with the windows and doors (these are separate #'s), and old-style sliding doors as in 7722 (I think) and accompanying track pieces. Color is unknown, at least to me, but (...) (25 years ago, 29-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Train doors and windows

Matt, I am probably interested in your "sub-consortium" but I still haven't figured out what parts are in question. Depending on how many of the parts I actually want makes a big difference on how much I am willing to pitch in. So, could someone (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: RIS 1.5 defined???

Well, I saw the Droid Dev Kit & the Robotics Discovery System boxes today at a TRU. The DDK and the RDS both show a RIS 1.5 box on the back. If we assume that the box was final art, then one change is the parts count. The existing RIS 1.0 has a (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Train doors and windows

(...) Well, outside of the specifics of the private contract between the consortium members, I think this whole topic is of a potentially HUGE interest to just about everyone who reads here.   Re: Extra COM port on PC?

I checked out Entrega's 2U1S1P Multifunction USB Hub (which adds a serial port and a parallel port without requiring additional IRQs) a few weeks ago. I found the serial port ("COM3USB") worked well for a 56K modem, a Palm HotSync cradle, the RIS IR (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Extra COM port on PC?

(...) If it's an internal modem, you could set the modem to use a non-standard interrupt and IO port and configure your software to match. That'll leave room for another standard port. Or you could put a couple devices on a switch box so you can use (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
