Naming of Parts (esp. Wheels & Tires)

Hi, Perhaps it is just me, but I am often confused when trying to find matching parts. For example, there is a wheel center 50944 or 42610, which is named 11 x 6 mm. In fact it is 11.2 x 6.4 mm which also more fits to LEGO dimensions. That is not (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Ping mode for US Sensor in NXT-G

(...) multibyte (...) Yes I am John. But I am doing separate single-byte reads. I base this on the US sensor hardware doc where it indicates 0x02, 0x42 for the closest distance, 0x02, 0x43 for the next, 0x02, 0x44 for the next, etc. This also (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Part Authors: opinions sought on T-Junctions

(...) in all the parts I've made so far there is just one with a t-junction: (URL) (if I remember correctly it's where the two red quads are surrounded by the white border) but it is forgiveable I think, as it was one of the first parts I've ever (...)   Re: Need (working) program to generate instruction pictures

(...) Jim, I'm not a programmer, but as it was explained to me by Don Heyse, that the only way for a double-clickable Mac application to get information about unix-like environment variables is if that variable is specified in a file called (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: Classic Space Meets Belville

This is seriously awesome! One of the most creative and unorthodox ideas I've ever seen. Good job with the lighting, but what made me laugh the most was the "cybernetic space bunny." (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Non verrò a Ballabio :-(((

(...) [...] (...) Proprio adesso che Gianluca mi aveva mandato il CAD con la strada modificata... mi dispiace davvero. Spero ti possa rifare a Torino 2007! Ciao Luca (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: Ping mode for US Sensor in NXT-G

(...) You are using firmware version 1.04, right? 1.03 doesn't work well for multibyte reads. JB (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Classic Space Meets Belville

(...) I like this very much. It is always a pleasure to so see that those Belville-figures can have a far better role within MOC-building than they have so far. I much prefer Bel-figs to their little counterparts (minifigs) because the scale is (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Ping mode for US Sensor in NXT-G

Hi Guy, You inspired me to do a ping using NBC, but I have run into trouble. I get a -35 (ERR_COMM_BUS_ERR) when I try to read more than one object reading. The code is long, so I'll just put the basics of what I am doing here to see if anyone (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Re: Classic Space Meets Belville

This cracked me up! Great idea there and the ship is quite cool, in and of itself. Josh (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Part Authors: opinions sought on T-Junctions

(...) It's possible that by setting up meshes POVray can largely avoid the problem as it rotates points and then joins them. My opinion is that Part Authors should stick to keeping the polygon count down rather than jumping through hoops to try to (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Robo Quad - Stage One

Hi Eric, this is a really interesting project. I'll promise to follow your progress, even though I can't join. This project will push Mecha building to a new stage! Best wishes (URL) Marco> (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Classic Space Meets Belville

The Blue Belle Space Patroller, or just "Belle" for short, is perfect for extraplanetary excursions from the ol' moon ranch or Tritonian ice castle. She comfortably seats two, and can easily carry the goods for a nice Martian picnic, cometary (...) I've made a web interface for Ross Crawford's (URL) txt2dat> program: (URL) txt2dat online>.   Part Authors: opinions sought on T-Junctions

If you are a part author, I'd appreciate it if you read this post. I know it's long, but it needs to be in order to correctly describe the issue. When looking at one one of the parts in the inaugural Part of the Month contest in LDView (on my work (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  LEGO NXT Cable Mod

Hi All, If you haven't purchased the LEGO NXT adapter cable for legacy sensors or outside real world circuit interfacing, then read my latest blog entry (URL).   Re: There are no adults on planet earth

Patty, (...) I see you started a new club on the curators page, I am not sure why I signed up for it, but am not interested enough to change it. : ) As for adults, I agree wholeheartedly.   Re: Need (working) program to generate instruction pictures

(...) Hmm. I'm curious how it works on your machine. There's not a problem with my LDraw directory or $LDRAWDIR definition; it's an environment variable, regardless of where it's defined. The problem isn't with the LDraw parts, its with the visible (...) (19 years ago, 4-Mar-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
