Re: Elenco iscritti ItLUG: adeguamento normativo

(19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: 10183 LEGO Hobby Trains on ILTCO

(...) Yes, no need for motors - soon John will be making trains so wide you can sit on them and propel them along with your feet - all the time making "chuff-chuff" and "woo-woo" noises. Then at last we can demonstrate how much the hobby has grown (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Elenco iscritti ItLUG: adeguamento normativo

(19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

Re: Hypothetically speaking? the future of IR/RC trains

(...) while the distance between the rails is identical the depth of the rail is not. unfortunetly this lets 4.5v trains run on 9v track but not the other way around because 9v train wheels have a longer flange depth.. ondrew (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Re: Hypothetically speaking? the future of IR/RC trains

(...) It's possible you could get reasonable running by butting them up against one another, but no, they're not really designed to click together. If you ask Ondrew nicely, he may be able to come up with a nice adapter solution though. ROSCO (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Re: LDView 3.1 on Mac OS X!

(...) I took a look at the QChar docs in both QT 3 and QT 4, and updated the failing line of code to call the unicode() function on the QChar object. This builds fine in QT 3, and should also build fine in QT 4. I haven't had a chance yet to see if (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  Re: Green Quad

(...) I like it. I'm not a big mecha fan, and honestly your work, while awesome, can be a bit repetitive- but this is cute. Does it walk? Or roll? Does it sit up, or do tricks? Or is that all coming in the next model? Tim (Smith) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Hypothetically speaking? the future of IR/RC trains

(...) **maniacal laughter** Bring back the 4.5 volt trains, with the good plastic track. That's what I'd like to see. And the cuuuuute little battery boxes! Bwah-hah-hah-hah-haaaaaah! Okay, seriously-- I never got the 9v train system; I sorta felt (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Wait for Sound: Tone

Given: The Sound block can play a tone. What would it take to create a "Wait for Tone" block or to modify the "Wait for Sound" block to perceive a tone? I think a "Wait for Tone" block would help ease the transition to learning about communications (...) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

(...) -snip- (...) This answer isn't particularly Ambassadorial, but: I note Sachiko Akinaga from Tokyo is featured in BrickJournal 6... she might be a good contact to start with. Richie Dulin (URL) (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

(...) On my MacBook, wchart is a 4-byte type. I'm not sure about the QChar definition. I've found a class definition in /src/corelib/tools/q...ar.h/.cpp, but my C++ is weak so on first glance I'm not sure how to interpret its type compatibility. (...)
