  Philo's remote and spy rover

I just ran across these on LEGO's NXTlog: A little Spy rover and a joystick-based remote control: (URL) - nice job Philo! I like the ball caster (OK, I'll admit bias), but I really like using a mechanical linkage to pan the US sensor to widen the (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Unit LNE of the dinochrome brigade (Was: Rock Crawling)

(...) OK, I hammered on it some more, and made a much more fun video. I updated Brickshelf with some "deconstruction" pictures that show how to build it (hey, I didn't say they made it *easy* to build it): (URL) the video on YouTube, with my son (...)   January 2007 SMART meeting notes

What a terrific meeting we had yesterday! I was really blown away by all the walking robots people built. There were 7 fully working robots, and many other prototypes that people brought as well. As usual, every design was different. Some robots (...) (19 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Spawning threads in NBC

Thanks to David Wallace's very thought-provoking (although somewhat distracting) emails, I think I can put together a simple pseudo NBC opcode which will let you start a thread in a manner very similar to how it works in NQC. It requires a couple (...) (19 years ago, 28-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

  Harbour Bridge in SMH

An interview I did with Steve Meacham last Monday has been published in today's Sydney Morning Herald. You can read the online version (URL). I have posted pics I took during the build (URL) here>, and will add more info to my webpage soon. ROSCO (19 years ago, 28-Jan-07, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.loc.au, FTX) !!

  Re: WIP - Red Quad

(...) Thanks, I am sometimes not sure where some of my parts come from. I just have them. :p (...) Yes, we will be announcing the Sneary-Sophie combine. We are building a Spa-Mechgorpian. Amazing?   Re: CAD utili e inutili

Re: Finaly: I completed my new LDraw render engine

(...) I'm not sure if I know what you mean here. But an importer will most likely create joints for all parts in the MPD. Otherwise it will be difficult to determine which to do and which ones not.   Re: New LDraw Parts

(...) Thank you for your polite enquiry. Externally, the situation is little changed since this announcement in September: (URL) a lot is going on in the background.   Re: How big is the hobby and how big can it be?
