For each item I'm watching, I just want to know the current bid & next higher bid and who's the current high bidder (more specific: I want to know if *I* am the current high bidder). Apparently, its set #1666. I did not know the number, but I did get one in a bulk purchase of Legos. Since I rarely let my Lego touch the floor, I don't have much use for it... Oh, and it did work when I tried it out! It didn't seem to scratch up (...) (25 years ago, 24-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

I think if you root around in this very group you'll find a post or two from Todd on the topic of bid frequency which I think seems to suggest that the most bidding traffic happens on Tuesdays based on his analysis of some of the auctions he ran.
