  Re: Proposed Assembly Line Project

[pardon the uninvited Yank, but I love the idea and have been lurking. And I'm hard to actually shut up, just ask Steve] (...) One thing you guys could consider is having different folks come up with different building sequences on their own, and (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Proposed Assembly Line Project

(...) Waitwaitwait, did they build you at the Honda factory? :) I don't think we should worry about the minifig (but that's moot). (...) Not a dumb question at all - to be honest I hadn't thought about it. Once the "press down" starts happening I (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: WE HAVE LIFTOFF!

(...) I just wanted to say I've always been impressed that you guys do this display on a regular basis and always come up with cool dioramas even though the themes change each time. Awesome! You guys are really lucky to have a consistent display (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.events, FTX)

  Re: Proposed Assembly Line Project

(...) There's a lot of prework for organizing: The carrier and the assembly pallet at minimum. Then deciding the building sequence. Thankfully the building sequence is pretty top to bottom. One item (the minifigure) needs to assembled before his (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: NXT software -- my view

(...) Well, if you look at pricing retail, yes. I personally think the NXT is worth much more than the RCX functionally too. We're just not used to it yet. Calum (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Contributor Agreement License details

(...) As one of the CA's authors, my view on this is that you should state somewhere in your distribution of the image (i.e. on the web page hosting it, as a text file in a .zip, on the image itself, etc...) that the content were derived from the (...)   Re: Contributor Agreement License details

(...) I agree, clarification on rendered images is needed. If a rendering using LDraw parts is a derivative work, and derivative works are required to visibly display credit, that's a problem. It won't show up on my renders; I don't burn "Credit: (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Contributor Agreement License details

(...) Maybe it's just me, but if renderings are considered derivative works, we need to seriously step back and think long and hard about whether or not we are OK with that. I personally think that forcing renderings to have text on them (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

What kind of Lego do you have? ...Your recent (URL) Kraken pics> indicate you have quite an impressive knack for building galleys and medieval ships (a few of which are in the list of ship-types here). ...or of course, you could always build (...)   Re: January SMART meeting

(...) Okay, I've got confirmation of the date. January 27th from 2 to 5pm, at Digipen as usual. Sorry for the delay, but at least it's our usual time and place. Looking forward to seeing everyone there, and especially looking forward to seeing some (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Re: Contributor Agreement License details

(...) Maybe It's a stupid question but here goes ... Does this mean when you put a rendering (or rendered animation) on the Internet you must scribble 100+ names on the png / frames / end credits. If so I think that's very restricting, a simple (...) (19 years ago, 18-Jan-07, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

(...) Thanks. It looks really bad in Lynx. Apparently Lynx doesn't like div elements (at least not when they have style information attached). Lynx also doesn't know the meaning of the tfoot element, which is a little more surprising. --Travis (19 years ago, 17-Jan-07, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Bingo. :) I have a ton of old 4.5 V track I can loan out if people want to do it that way, but the new 9V track looks a lot nicer (there are twice as many cross ties on the 9V track than the old 4.5V). For mocking things up at home you could (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
