  Re: A quick LEGO History

(...) You're most very welcome Kelly, Now that the "burden" of the LEGO CD is finished, I can return to posting a lot of interesting information that I have learned the past few years from others, as well as from folks in Billund. Luckily, I've (...) (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.general)

(...) Gary, Good, concise history! I've heard bits and pieces of this before, but never quite so linearly told. I always find this stuff fascinating. Thanks for sharing this. - Kelly (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.general)

  Re: BrickLink down?

(...) Northstar was installing a new router at 6:15am (central time I think) which may have affected Bricklink. Seems to be OK now. ROSCO (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.market.brickshops)

Re: New TLC standard for containers?

(...) Could well be. Also looks like a new bigger boat hull - AFAIK the largest to date is (URL) this> (besides the (URL) Belville one>), and this looks considerably larger than that - at least 16 wide, and by my count at least 70 long. ROSCO (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  A quick LEGO History

Someone on a local Detroit area Historic Preservation site asked me if "LEGO By Samsonite" meant that Samsonite sold the company to LEGO. Well I went off on a long tangent, and I thought I would cut/paste it here on a LEGO forum. Since I wrote this (...) (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.general)

  Best year

Dear Lego, You've restored my faith in the company. If you asked me last week, I would have said 1991 was the best year ever for Lego town. (URL) after seeing the new sets, I think 2007 might be better. And that's saying a lot. (URL) left my dark (...) (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.general, lugnet.town) !!

  Re: Catalogo 2007

"Luca Giannitti" <legoitalia@yahoo.dk> ha scritto nel messaggio news:JAq8D7.6Gw@lugnet.com... (...) In generale non sono molto d'accordo, ma cio' e' dovuto al diverso atteggiamento con cui guardiamo ai set Lego. Sono un po' un nostalgico (...) (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  New castle line

I'm actually pretty saddened that an entire new castle line is introduced and Lugnet doesn't have a single post on it, whereas there are pages of stuff elsewhere. Geez, what happened to this forum? (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.castle)

  From the TCLTC Proving Grounds....

(URL) Here> is a video on YouTube showing Ross' preliminary work on adding a third line to our Thomas modules (all being controlled by an RCX). The switches will be hidden; all that will be visible will be the other half of the loop, like (URL) (...)   Re: New TLC standard for containers?

(...) It's such an unappealling aspect ratio. 6x12 would match the old ones better but I'd be more inclined to 6x14 or 6x16. 6x10 just looks nothing like a real container (half or full). Tim (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Using the Lego CD "FIND" Command.

I almost forgot.... One of the nice things about using the LEGO CD is how easy it is to use the FIND command to find a set number within a chapter. To use it in the PDF files, click on the EDIT button (at the top) and select FIND. When entering a (...) (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Get a Sample Downloadable Chapter of the LEGO CD

(...) Anders, (you should be getting your CD in a few days) The gray garage frame and base were first introduced in 1966 in the #325 Shell Station, and later (after TLG used up the inventory of white frames and bases, circa 1967-68) the gray garage (...)   Dacta set 9180

Hi, My son got this as a gift but it wasn't right for him (he likes farm/zoo stuff). I started looking around and found out it was a very old Dacta set. If someone wants it, the going price seemed about $65. Please email me if interested. I had (...) (19 years ago, 23-Dec-06, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
