Thanks again, I can tell from looking at the instructions for that set I'll need the 2x2 with one hole not two. After a little trial and error I figured out that the lugnet set/piece inventory refers to it as a 2x2 plate with 90° female joint (...) (25 years ago, 22-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

I went to the LEGO shop in Bluewater today. An excellent shop that sells a lot of stuff not available at Billund or Windsor (AFAIK). I have just posted some information on cracking the Cybermaster communications with the PC for those of you who want to use a Cybermaster on a DOS machine. I have another LDraw(n) rover that I posted in the (URL) group. Only problem is that it's kind of top-heavy, and the motors don't gear down much. Still, it's another design to compare. If anyone is interested I have two Blacktron sets for sale/auction. They are 6987 - Blacktron star base and 6876 Strider robot Both are complete used, and have their original instructions, which are in good condition. 6987 has part of its box as (...) A/B steering is the simplest possible (and least accurate) steering mechanism. One motor controls each wheel. Similar to the very first robot you build with the Mindstorms CD. No fancy gearing or other machinations. Usually the robot has trouble (...) (25 years ago, 22-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
