  Re: Couple of new(ish) buildings

(...) Thank you, Eric. (...) I don't buy very many sets any more, but when I do and I end up with 'junk' (parts I don't normally use) I try to challenge myself to put them to use. Sometimes the results look 'forced' and other times I am happy with (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Couple of new(ish) buildings

Jonathan, these buildings are fantastic! When I think about building mech bays, I always think how much more advanced the "Town" builders are when it comes to structure. I look up to folks like you when I build and I think to myself, "the more I (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Dinner this Friday?

Well - If anyone wants company for dinner, let me know, otherwise I'll just drive back to St. Catharines after work... -Rob A> (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Dinner this Friday?

(...) I'm unfortunately out of town, and seeing as people just finished Hobby Show and will be heading into Train Show next weekend (or FLL, for that matter) I figured we'd just can it. I just didn't want to advertise a meeting where I wasn't there, (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Trenini in mostra 2006

(19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Dinner this Friday?

I'm available for dinner too, and this Friday makes the most sense since the following weekend is the train show. All us train guys are going to be busy preparing for the show or loading in. I'm still not sure if it's a Friday evening load in or a (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Couple of new(ish) buildings

(...) Ah, yes. Understood. (...) Thanks and feel free to grab any idea you like! Very few of my buildings start from the bottom either. Street level is usually the last thing I build. Sometimes I build from the 2nd level up (and then back down to (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: 7905 building crane

Hey, This is, indeed, an awesome set, both as a town set and as a source of parts (31 14-long technic beams alone, not to mention other beams and technic bits, plus tons of basic bricks, plates, tiles). To me it's the porta-potty that makes the set, (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: Couple of new(ish) buildings

(...) Yeah, down the road I could try that one out for sure, to display on (URL) this>. Problem is that these sections are too large (and too uncompleted;-) for us to take on the road. I would make a copy of yours to show off to the GP in our (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 9-Nov-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: 7905 building crane

I think this is one of the best System sets to come out in quite a while. You get an amazing number and variety of pieces for a very good price, including those triangular girders (16 of them!) in yellow. I've only ever seen them in black, and that (...)
