  Ciao a tutti

Ciao a tutti, ho ricevuto un messaggio di Todd Lehman (il titolare di LUGNET) che invita me e tutti gli appassionati Lego italiani a utilizzare l'area locale italiana di LUGNET per i nostri scambi di messaggi. (Thanks Todd) Naturalmente possiamo (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.it)

Lego designer interviewed in Swedish Newspaper

Hi all! When I opened today's newspaper, 'Dagens Nyheter' ('Daily News'), I found an interview with a Lego designer, Martin Riber Andersen, about the Star Wars Lego (The Phantom Menace has just come up in Swedish cinemas, and all critics find it (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: [ldraw.org] Update

(...) IANAL, so I may be way off base, but I wouldn't worry quite as much about that image, for several reasons: 1) It's got a blinking "Search..." on the side; it's not a static image of a brick. (Maybe that's not a significant difference.) 2) What (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Droid Dev. Kit, reprise

Well, I've built a small "droid" from it now. And I have to admit, since it is a Technic kit, it was fun. It is only a little smarter than a Technic kit that only has a motor because of its programs (such as they are) and the light detector - but, (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Early Technic

(...) Yeah, I had some of those in my childhood. I also remember the red bushings and the white axles. The gears were cool: They could be used both as normal gears and as crown gears. They may look old, but they were still very well designed. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Strikes me as a strong argument for allowing banners and other items to be retrieved directly from your server instead of requiring that we host them in our space.   [Off-Topic] Re: X10 X-Cam

  Re: Spare Lego for us

I've received a number of offline notes about this, expressing various opinions and pledging various amounts. So depending on the dollar amount, it's doable, and at 5K I'd be in for less than half of the total (but not much less, so far). More (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Small new train web site

Thanks Larry, I actually borrowed the tile idea from LEGO land, Billund. They actually "side" entire houses with this technique, but they have a ton of 1x8 tiles... BTW spelling has always been a problem for me (darn phonics). I didn't know that (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  New small train show pics

Hi All, There is a new gallery on PNLTC of a rather small layout that is adorning the front window of a small toy shop in Hillsboro, OR. Check out "What's New" www.pnltc.org SteveB (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

Nice. I like the fake door, very clever. Think I'll steal that idea. One minor nit... it's Bogie (as in Humphrey) rather than Boogie (as in John Travolta), and the US usage is more properly "truck". (...) (25 years ago, 20-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)
