  Canada tout question

Hi, Canada Post is charging 2 different rate for XpressPost 1 regional and 1 national. So here are the questions: do we need xpresspost or regular mail is enough? If xpresspost is requiried do we do a one way trip across Canada? If the second option (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.ca)

well, not to be outdone here... I've got 2 rare 1x1 black plates, 2 rare 1x1 yellow plates, 3 of those yellow 1x2 plates. and I would even excuse the chef hat :) (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: ideas for a RIS 2.0

Hi All: C2PO (contrary to popular opinion) I think that the RCX ver. 1.0 is just fine as currently implemented. It does an excellent job of meeting the needs of it's target market (such as my two sons at 10 & 11 y.o.) as well as providing a super (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: ROV for divers theme

(...) It's my own design but, I tried to add some cues from one of Dr. Robert Ballard's (the guy who discovered the Titanic) ROVs. I'm thinking about making a submersible to launch this little guy.   Re: 6419 Paradisa Question

I bought the House version of Paradisa (Poolside Paradise) because of the cool black car (Which turned into a Corvette, naturally! :) ) I also wanted a nice house, and I still have it as my house to this day. I am planning on remodeling it soon. Oh, (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: A quick afterthough on - Ideas for a RIS 2.0

From: John Barnes <barnes@sensors.com> (...) It has been done, but it predated the RCX. Check out the Handyboard. The advantage to the RCX is that it is a standard platform which is readily available. I can go out and buy a kit, then build a robot. (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  LegoCAD

Does anyone know if there are LegoCAD updates that include the parts found in the Mindstorm kit, i.e. the RCX brick? Mark Mazurkiewicz MarkMaz@mede.com -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: CFV: Jonathan Wilson's posting privileges on LUGNET

I'm not frustrated like a lot of folks (for obvious reasons) but where the future of an individual with regard to a community is at (...)   Re: Jonathan Wilson's posting privileges on LUGNET

How about a 1 post per day limit to the cad.* heirarchy as a probationary condition? This would force Jonathan to more carefully consider what he posts, and would give everyone a break from the deluge of sometimes rude or irritating posts. Is this (...)   RE: Ideas for a RIS 2.0

Ok, I just have to jump in here. This thread is a really good idea, and I hope that TLG monitors it...but I get the feeling that I'm hearing folks bemoan why they can't build something because of shortcomings in the RCX, and that's like not building (...)   A quick afterthough on - Ideas for a RIS 2.0

Anyone who is seriously involved in designing new sensors etc for use with the RCX could probably do their own RCX replacement as well? There's a thought! JB -- Did you check the web site first?: (URL) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: GMLTC at the NMRA National Convention

When I worked in the factory (12 years ago) we had no contact with the brick molding people. We knew where they were, and every once and a while one of them would come out with a dumpster of deformed bricks. It looks like maybe a Chistmas Eve raid (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Ideas for a RIS 2.0

More I/O ports would be handy. But a little ingenuity can expand on what is already provided. What cannot be expanded is the memory capacity of the RCX, or its processong flexibility. The idea of simply using the RCX as an interface between the I/O (...) (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
