  Smurf Mosaic

Hello, I know that there a bunch of mosaic's made in this fashion out there, but I wanted to give my hand at it. Plus, I hope to make more mosaics in the future that will fit strictly on a 48x48 stud baseplate. I have been thinking about doing a 3D (...)   Re: Best Pick a Brick Store?

(...) What kind of error - this should be accessible to non-members. You could try deep links like (URL) for the LEGOLAND Windsor inventory. During the park opening season last year this had the largest selection, but we don't know what it will be (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: CN engine WIP

(...) It does look a little stubby--so I agree with Larry. However, it's sooooo cute being stubby :) Dave K -never overlook the 'cute' factor! (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Best Pick a Brick Store?

(...) I've never been to any of the parks and I have a free weekend during a business trip to London. You just earned a commission if I go to LegoLand! (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: [rtlToronto] March Monthly Dinner

(...) I probably could, since I work in the Markham area. How do you enter an intersection into Mapquest? The obvious choices didn't work: "Bayview / Cummer", "Bayview + Cummer", "Bayview Cummer". Anyways, Rob, call me at 413-4262 (using the Markham (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: CN engine WIP

(...) I think I may not have spoken clearly, my apologies. Older hood units have 2 hoods, one long one and one short one. With a safety cab (or full width cab and nose) the engine only has one hood, the long one, which in this paint scheme carries (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Cuboro Blocks

(...) Ah yes, the curved passages. Does Cuboro have those? I would dare as much as to get my knuckle stuck in them. 'Steeth! I bet they drilled from both faces and then rasped out the rest. Would that I had a block here to examine. -Erik (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: CN engine WIP

(...) Aaron, If I'm suppossed to try and get my MBM done before your train is done, you better slow down. I'll have mine by the next SandLUG meeting. I'll get cracking on this ASAP, but not until after the Thomas the Train event at LL in 1 weeks. (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: NXT Pre orders start April 1st!!!

(...) If I do it, I am going to find a third party to ship from the US to Canada because it is cheaper to do that and pay shipping, taxes and duty than it is for me to buy at the MSRP in my own country. Jude (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.lego)

  Re: CN engine WIP

(...) Anthony, I saw your posts on your Polar Express. Hope you succeed. Glad you like this one. I'd say if you used to be into HO, you'll do as well as I did (also a model railroader). I had thought about building the engine in all black, and then (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: CN engine WIP

(...) Oh, yea, it's waaaay to short to be prototypical. But I see what you mean about the safety cab hood being a little too short. Don't know how much I can change in the cab, and keep the snotty windows. As for the striped portion, I think it's (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: LEGO Cuboro Blocks

(...) I had one of those sets. It was one of the toys, along with Lego, that I played with the most, even into my teens. I was trying to remember the name of it after I saw Jon's post. The blocks were just smooth enough to be "safe" toys, but not so (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Flex parts (Was NSW Class 38 Streamlined steamer)

  Re: CN engine WIP

(...) Not bad, but a bit stubby, as others have said. Try making the cab a bit shorter. That gives a stud or two more to the hood and hides the disproportionality. Also, consider black trucks instead of gray. Gray is a bit too light for most protos (...) (20 years ago, 17-Mar-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
