30 years ago, Creative Playthings had a product like this called “Multiway Rollway”.

I had one of those sets. It was one of the toys, along with Lego, that I played with the most, even into my teens. I was trying to remember the name of it after I saw Jon’s post.

The blocks were just smooth enough to be “safe” toys, but not so slick that they slid apart too easily. Painted marble rolls are too slick. And I never could figure out how they drilled the curved tunnels. Even now, most wooden marble runs either have straight tunnels, or curved blocks that are split to allow the curve to be cut with a router.

Ah yes, the curved passages. Does Cuboro have those? I would dare as much as to get my knuckle stuck in them. ‘Steeth!

I bet they drilled from both faces and then rasped out the rest. Would that I had a block here to examine.
