Re: Master Model Builder Search 2006 Kicks off Monday at LLCA!

(...) Hello all. Aaron is right. Living in SO CAL is not cheap. The salary provided is really only a fraction of what is required to be able to afford California, as a single individual. If you have family responsibilities, forget it. If your (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.legoland.california, FTX)

  Re: Gear lash....

(...) No, that made a lot of sense. I get it. I looked at Dave's code--that helped too. (...) I've never used them. I don't really know why one would. I've always used those little 2x2 round pads. I've got a couple worn down by a millimeter which is (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Gear lash....

(...) If I may comment on the castor issue. 1. Never put rubber tires on casters. 2. Use that funny boat hull piece as a caster whenever possible 3. Never put rubber tires on casters. The hole issue with casters messing up your direction control (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: Gear lash....

(...) One reason the sampling time can be high is a misguided attempt to "smooth" the times. I tried averaging out the last five values in a shift register and found it really slowed the thing down (my samples got really "steppy"). I switched to (...)   The blocks are ready!

(URL) I am not. I've tried but I've had so little time in the last few weeks the best I've done is build 100 blocks. I'm still working on a bot but realistically it's not going to happen. But I'll still be there with the full set of game blocks. (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Battery Box Needed!

I was wondering if anyone would be able to bring a 9V battery box for me to use on Saturday? I need to power up my light and all of the outputs on the RCX are taken. The rule in which the light is only on during the robot's stopped position, is not (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: LEGO Scale Question

(...) I know that this is going to be an "idiot" question, but when you say 1 stud= 1 minifig foot. What does that look like? I know I know that sounds stupid, but I am currently not at home and thus do not have my Lego pieces in front of me, so I (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: State of the MDP?

(...) Bummer. I sort of given all hope and expect the "bummer" email soon (btw, I would like to take credit for calling it the "bummer" email...ha). Anyway, LEGO if your out there and need more candidates, you still have a couple of very enthusiast (...) (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Wanted...white umbrellas

I'm looking for a place in Toronto to buy a pair of white umbrellas. I don't want to pay $45 for regular photographic ones...and I know somewhere there exists a source of cheap umbrellas I can experiment with. Calum (19 years ago, 3-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
