(...) That was exactly it - the rear spring terminal, although it appeared fine, was evidently just barely bent too high by the impact. I removed the circuitboard, pushed both battery clips down slightly, and rebuilt the unit. It works! The power (...) (20 years ago, 28-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)
