  RCX 1.0 Button Cleaning ...??

Hi Folks, I need help from someone who has dissembled an RCX. I have looked at the assembly pictures (elsewhere) but they're no help. My 'On-Off' button is flaky. My first thought was to remove the batteries, then the 4 phillips-head screws and (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Dutch 1851 - by Joep Klazen

(...) I agree he has the shape 100% down but I thought that for the six-wide version too. I'll never quite get eight-wide but these are nice trains, six- or eight-wide. Tim (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: It's awfully quiet in here

(...) Brian, the battery clips are soldered onto the RCX's main board. A good solid jolt might have managed to unsolder one of them, or crack the corner of the board. JB (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Thanks everyone, I have a very rough sample at: (URL) I expect this can be developed and improved over the next few weeks. Unfortunately, I ran out of 1x1 plates though for the real thing :( <plug> You can see the real thing at Petersfield on (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) I think that, yes, your bias is clouding your judgment, because it is obviously clear why he went 8 wide to model this train-- because he totally nails the look and feel of the proto by doing it. Compare it to his 6 wide version. There is no (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Going underground for the week...

(...) I think that's about right. We start at 1 or whatever. Each round, whoever can make it, they make it, if they can't, they sit out. Your "availability" is basically however many rounds you can run. Obviously if eight robots show up, we can't (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Thank you, Miguel. (...) As discussed earlier, I am now convinced of the animation potentials of MPDs. As a (not very active, but yet...) member of the LDraw Standards Commitee, I am also convinced of the benefits we all would enjoy if all (...)   Re: Going underground for the week...

(...) So what is the plan? We start the competition around 1 or 2 and since there's no Plan B at this time ('cause I don't have time to run something on the side and no one's stepped up)... i was thinking the other night that if we say we're running (...)   Re: It's awfully quiet in here

(...) Well, I'm mostly quiet because I'm just coming back from a set of robot games in Northern Indiana, where I was only able to enter two robots... and one of them didn't run at all due to a dead (& I mean DEAD) RCX. So anybody want to help out (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Hi Joep, Seems that trains is very busy with new posts at the moment. I am curious why you decided to change to eight-wide. It seems to me that this train is not gaining anything much from it but perhaps you see future trains as having greater (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) At this point, I'm not sure if the process of getting people signed up is complete. (I don't even know if everyone has been contacted) However, I'm pretty sure you won't hear much about what the lucky 100 are doing for a couple months. Steve (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) You got that right. (...) Thanks Mo. The PA005c is my favorite next to this one. I actually changed¬ the arms of PA005C to use the same method used with PA006A.¬ BTW, I liked your Humphrey. I hope you are planning to build more mecha.¬ David. (20 years ago, 27-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.mecha)
