  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

Hey Thomas, A good and thoughtful post, but I have to disagree with some of the points. Swanberg - Yes, there is the Michael Jackson factor and we all like to gossip, but I do think there were some relevant questions that did impact the community: (...)   Ideas for Lego Chipper?

As soon as my current projects are done, or maybe even sooner than that I wanted to design a Lego Chipper as a final project for a while. The problem is that Legos can't cut wood. I have thought about using store-bought razor blades for the cutting (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

Hello Thomas, Your posting caught my eye today as you're obviously unhappy with the way you see things. At the bottom of your message you say: (...) I'm hoping to provide some discussion. As to whether or not that also constitutes "insight" is up to (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: "Left" view

(...) Actually, front and back are the same in both projections. One might argue that since MLCad does the top and bottom views that we're expecting, that this invalidates the argument. However, remember that the LDraw coordinate system is flipped, (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, FTX)

Old Light & Dark Gray Brick packs are gone

  Re: Novità da Cafepress

(...) Prego. (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Lego Hobby Blues

Hi Thomas, --SNIP-- I'm not going to comment on the first section as I am not sure myself what I prefer there. (...) AFOLs are people and people like to gossip. The Swanberg case is just spomething to gossip about really, much like the Michael (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Japan Rail EF64

(...) Thanks for the information Phillipe. (...) That's a great BBB solution. In mine the train is only attached by the middle segment and the other two move (quite far out around corners by some CAD tests I did). Shifting the centre one reduces (...)   Novità da Cafepress

Ciao, brutte notizie da Cafepress.   Arrested Development

Monday's episode of the brilliant (and therefore soon-to-be terminated) FOX show "Arrested Development" featured several references to LEGOLAND. One character, played by Dave "Bob McKenzie" Thomas, wore a LEGOLAND t-shirt. Dave! (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Vehicle with square wheels

(...) I love it when LEGO's innate design works out perfectly for creating something strange like a 22.5° angle. Is is fate? Serendipity? Clever planning? All of these? (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Lego Hobby Blues

  Re: Japan Rail EF64

  Re: "Left" view

(...) Hmm, maybe. But in both first- and third-angle projections, the central view/projection shows the same side of the object. In the case of MLCAD, when you choose 'front view', you are shown the front of the model. Same for top, bottom, and back (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, FTX)

  Re: "Left" view

(...) Hello, all. I'm a new poster to this newsgroup, usually just a lurker. This discussion caught my eye and I wanted chime in. Perhaps the reason the LEFT view appears wrong is due to the orthographic projection scheme used by MLCad--First-Angle (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, FTX)
