  Re: Giochi Sforzeschi - Comunicato N° 1

(...) Probabilmente il GBC è troppo fuori tema. Qualche robot Mindstorms però forse ci può stare. Io ho ancora il mio buon vecchio Johnny Five montato :-) (...) Buona idea. Io per esempio non credo che riuscirò ad essere presente tutti e tre i (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Che sia la strada giusta?

Che questa sia la strada giusta per avvicinare i bambini al Lego? E possibilimente allontanarli da altre esperienze! Date un'occhiata: (URL) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Re: Question about image generation

(...) You can also use "Save snapshot" in LDView to generate a similar image. If you set the edge lines to be always black, and set the Field of View to be 0.1, you'll get something like so: (URL) Cobbs (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Sears Tower: Supersize Me

(...) Spencer- Wow! We like to build big structures at SCLTC and this is one of the most impressive I've ever seen outside (or inside!) of Miniland. Congrats! -Ted Michon SCLTC (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: I want LEGOLD

(...) If you are really interested in something like this, I recommend taking a look at some third-party custom-created castings. A talented member of BZPower, Flintsmith, has created some amazing collectibles in metal and precious metal (see (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.dear-lego, FTX)

Re: MINI Cylon Raider from Battlestar Galactica

Chris, This is a great design, a worthy opponent for your Viper. Kelly, I like the group scene a lot. One problem - Vipers should always be outnumbered. Part of the heroism of Apollo, Starbuck, and company was that they were always up against (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New Loco MOC

(...) Very good work, Alban, with one of my favourite electric locos (it was the loco in my first Lima toy train...) I have a slightly better solution to James' modification: (URL) and the exploded view: (URL) And yes, James, that slope also exists (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  LDraw files for Large models/scenes?

Has anyone created any LDraw files for large models or scenes? Something where a story could be animated? In a future/space settings? Something like Riot13: (URL) would be so nice if someone made something like that. :) (hint hint) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: MINI Cylon Raider from Battlestar Galactica

(...) It's definitely a trickier one, that's for sure. But I think you nailed the essential idea of the Cylon Raider. As with the Viper, I had enough pieces (mostly) to construct four copies, so I've got a little armada going on: (URL) (Click for (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Sears Tower: Supersize Me

After building a (URL) microscale Sears Tower>, I decided to do a larger compressed version for use in our train layouts. The resulting (URL) model> debuted at MichLUG's GATS 2005 display in March. However, I still wasn't satisfied with the size and (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX) !!

Re: MINI Cylon Raider from Battlestar Galactica

(...) (URL) The overall saucer shape is good (with the down-canted wings), and the 2x2 Racers slope really nailed the canopy's shape (the original is louvered, and painted black); but the engines aren't quite right, IIRC. They are black, but the (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Alien delegation

(...) I like these -- they're whimsical. Mr.Rignault has made good use of the Lever Base, 1x1 Plate With Tooth, etc. to depict bulbous eyes, noses, beaks, protruding tongues, moustaches, feelers and eyebrows. The naturalistic browns and sand-colors (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  I want LEGOLD

(...) There's basically only three things I buy - with my discretionary income - DVDs, LEGO, and Gold(&Silver), so these gold LEGO bricks are a hit with me. I would however like to request/suggest that TLC partner with the Royal Canadian (or a (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: The World according to Harshbarger, Lambrecht, and Lowell

(...) Eric, your fanatstic work always gets my attention. I like to build big, and I've got a lot of parts, but that globe is a challenge I'm not ready to tackle... yet. ;-) Tim (Smith) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Question about image generation

(...) LDLite or LDGLite, possibly with a special ldraw.ini color file that gives black edge lines (although the default for trans white might be black already), or maybe MegaPOV are all ways I can think to do it. Ask Dan Boger. (20 years ago, 9-Nov-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

The World according to Harshbarger, Lambrecht, and Lowell

There's no way I could have ever built my latest creation without the earlier work of the following two LEGO guys: - Bruce Lowell, creator of the first "Lowell Sphere" - Bram Lambrecht, author of the web-app that allows creation of any size Lowell (...)
