Re: Excessive exchange rate between US and Canada

(...) Salut Andre, don't know if you count me in those few big customers, but I didn't bought anything from S@H since last fall, I was waiting for an ajustement of exchange rate to follow the dollars but in January Lego kept the same rate, so I (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

  BF themed BW?! oh my.

How zany would it be to rent a quad at the Hilton for late-night gaming? Has this been done? Could it be hazardous? I'm thinking not necessarily BW, but maybe a little-known table game that uses LEGO parts... anyone game? -Suz p.s. also see: (URL) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.gaming.brikwars)

  Re: Hotel Coral Essex

Hi Bill, (...) Wow I really love all the architectural details! My only nitpick is the front doors: your hotel would be perfect if you could find a "left" and a "right" door. Not sure if such doors exist in white (if any) though. Question for you - (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Paul Revere's Ride

(...) I agree with James. And, oddly enough, there IS a realistic Brick-built horse design out there that you, Bruce, could have borrowed. (URL) Alan> made this sweet horse design. You could even modify the design a wee bit to incorporate (URL) my (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: nuova serie vichinghi

(...)   Re: Hotel Coral Essex

(...) Hey, It is never too late! For me I have always loved old architechure. The modern stuff has never appealed to me. Glass and concrete and steel just doesn't cut it. Give me an old movie house, lofts made from a converted warehouse, or an old (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Hotel Coral Essex

(...) Hey Jason, Thanks for the comments! I will take more pics soon. The back is pretty unadorned. All I have on back is a fire escape and a loading dock for the hotel. I threw this one together pretty quickly for the show and wasn't able to get (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Hotel Coral Essex

(...) Hey Nick, Thanks! I am going to try and get more pics, but not for a little while. Got some projects I need to devote my time to right now.... Glad you picked up on the Hotel name! Wasn't sure anybody would get the reference... When I was (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: Hotel Coral Essex

(...) Thanks Eric, Just don't zoom in too close. I am still trying to perfect the art of photgraphing Lego. I am trying to get the lighting right since I can't use a flash. The pics don't always come out super clear.... As for the tan tooth and (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Hotel Coral Essex

(...) Thanks for the comments! I tried to put as much detail as possible into this. It is a different type of monster to build minifig scale as opposed to Miniland scale. Miniland scale being so much larger, you can make things super detailed. But I (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

  Re: *** LDView Version 3.0 RC 1 Released ***

Your program is always getting better! There's just one thing I wanted to bring to your attention: if you haven't noticed, the "isometric" camera view isn't actually rendering things in isometric perspective. I think you're confusing isometric (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Seemingly insane poly counts in official games - how?

I am wondering whether you could do this: Pass a plane through a model along the X axis. Keep track of which polys intersect the plane. If these intersections then intersect with each other, they will form 2D shapes on the plane. If any of these (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Have a great NMRA

Just saw the first pictures of the NMRA set up day 1. I really hope you all have a great time!...that it isn't so much work that you miss out on the fun of the event. I know your collective collaborative work will be impressive and the attendees, (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Not wanting to start rumors, but

Jake, Does this mean we can ship back all our Knight's Bus purple and receive ONE SINGLE PURPLE color back in return? I only have maybe 2-5 of the set, but it sure would be nice if the purple was consistent. "Within acceptable tolerances" they are (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.color)

  Re: Mid Year Toy Sales.

(...) Hi Matt, I don't know what Brad gets up to, but whether it's Ebay, partsies, or just avid model building I can't say that the "Brads" of the world have caused any difficulty in getting Lego sets for my kids. I often find that it's the sets (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.loc.au, FTX)

Re: SCLTC Goes Red, White, and Blue (200,000 times)!

(...) Erik- Larry P. likes to complain that our wheels are square, a reference to the 2x2 brick placed at the main drive wheel spot in our SCLTC logo. So, if you consider that this flag will be made with way over 100,000 2x2 bricks (just about the (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)
