(...) Is this actually true? I think you need to compare to LGB, Lionel, or quality HO or N gear rather than comparing to Bachman or Tyco stuff (or the equivalent low quality Oz brands). (...) Actually it was a bug in LPub. ldglite pre-crops the image to the smallest enclosing rectangle. LPub didn't expect this, applied its own crop routine, and added artifacts. Also this pre-cropping is why ldglite process is much faster than (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-05, to lugnet.cad)
