Re: Blue box 4483 AT-AT - new colors?

(...) I didn't get a response in .color, so will try in .general since this is not meant to be a "political" color question. Anyone?? Thanks, Steve (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.color)

  Meteor

It's been very quiet here in the .vignette group, so I thought I'd post something: (URL) No, it's not my best work, but hey, it is a Joe Vig! "Big Daddy" Nelson (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Leviathan 2005 (cool :-)

Hi all, A bunch of Studs turned out Saturday and Sunday at Leviathan, the annual festival of the Western Suburbs Game Society, presenting Lego for wargaming, with demonstration BrikWars games for any members of the public who wanted to sign on.   Mecha new and old

As promised in my last post, I spent all day taking pictures of all the mechs I have together and uploading them to brickshelf. The moderated ones are below. Since I'm not sure how to post the deep links, I'll post the the links to the others later. (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sousei no Aquarion - 3 mode combiner mecha prototyped from LEGO

(...) Maybe this is old news, but I was watching the DVD extras from volume V of Ghost in the Shell Stand-Alone Complex, where they were interviewing two of the mechanical designers. One of the designers, Shinobu Tsuneki, had on the table in front (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: New Fighter & car MOCs

Hello Jeff, I really like the small fighter! It looks like a Classic Space set that would have been updated! Cheers, JP. (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: LEGO stickers for your car?

Maybe. I'd put a LUGNET-logo sticker on my car, for sure. James Wilson Dallas, TX (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Crawler Treads

(...) That's actually the same package that this thread started off with. I think the question is not just to find treads, but to find them at something approaching economy. I'm hoping to get them in enormous superbulk at such a time as they (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: What is it with you guys?

(...) I thought you being dinks was the entire reason everything worked so well. But that's just one onlooker's (read: random American chowderhead's) opinion. LFB (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Delurking and pose contest entry.

Hi John! Nice to meet you and welcome, lol, sort of, since you have been around and kinda not... The shapes and parts you used on this Mech are cool. Plus you say 27 others?!?! Wowie. Take pics and post, I want to see! I listed your entry on the (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Conditional lines on sloped wedge parts 43720 and 43721

(...) I have made a 43720.inc for the test of the coming L3PPARTS. The mathematical description of the surface is: 80x + 40y + yz = 0 and I have used the POV primitive quadric: quadric { <0,0,0>, <0,0,1>, <80,40,0>, 0 clipped_by { box { <-20,0,-40>, (...)   LEGO stickers for your car?

So, I was thinking about the Cult of LEGO and the Cult of Macintosh (I have dual membership), and wondered if adult LEGO fans would put LEGO logos on their cars like Apple nuts do. A couple of friends indicated that they would. I would. Anyway, I (...) (21 years ago, 24-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Wanted: Repairer with good understanding of Cybermaster main unit.

I have had very little luck trying to get hold of the English CD. Sadly - while there are many online who know the innards of the RCX, it seems there are fewer people who have actually owned a Cybermaster, and none who were willing to dissassemble (...)   LLW modelmakers in the media

The other week the Daily Express ran an article about women with unusual jobs. LLW's Paula Laughton was featured describing what she gets out of being a modelmaker and saying that adult fans are scary! (I don't think she was serious!) Here's the (...)   Re: The Shipyard is Back

(...) Cool addition, Jon. My son loves your web site and thinks this is more than awesome. I hadn't seen the shipyard before, this is a great way to see all those behemoths the rest of us only drool and dream about. Kelly (21 years ago, 24-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Robotic simulators

(...) We have talked about this for a while before. I think it's a very big problem to solve all of the physics stuff adequately at the brick-by-brick level. The visualisation doesn't give me quite so many worries (but then I work as a graphics (...) (21 years ago, 24-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Robotic simulators

(...) Hi Dan, To my knowledge, there is no such a thing, and there is not enough information in the LDraw library format to be able to do this. A parts connection database was partially developed which would help with this, but so far it has minimal (...) (21 years ago, 24-Apr-05, to lugnet.robotics)

New Building Instructions from the latest LPub

Hi all, I've been making good progress with LPub development. I've been putting it through its paces for testing purposes, and finally finished the LDraw file for my small pneumatic walker Pedmatic (due to a typo of mine, it is also sometimes (...)
