Star Wars and Moby commisioned illustrations from back in 2002

Don't know why it's taken me so long to post these, but anyhow back in 2002 I was commisioned to do a couple of LEGO illustrations, one for SPIN magazine, one for Mojo magazine. Here they are for the first time online: (URL) This one was to (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars, FTX) !

  Re: March 26th Smart Meeting

(...) The holes will have white tape around them (I think you said in a previous posting), so if there are robots that may fall into the holes, they could detect the edge of the circle before falling in (they'll need to in order to deposit the egg, (...)   Re: Track side power polls.

(...) I am not sure if its too thick. But maybe we just make are Utility polls bigger in the North West. ;) What do other people think? Dave www.GPLR.org (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Lego DD Lighthouse

Well I have given Lego Digital Designer a try and build a virtual lighthouse. Personally I found the tool somewhat frustrating at times. I used the 2005 Factory brickset which is quite limiting... but that just adds to the fun. I modeled my (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.build)

  Re: March 26th Smart Meeting

(...) All good questions. I was just starting to build the arena today (making larger at 8'x6'), though I haven't cut the holes yet. My plan was to make them complete circles, about 3" in diameter, with somewhere around 1" between the edges of the (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Re: March 26th Smart Meeting

I think a larger arena makes sense, so that it doesn't get too crowded. What size will the holes in the corners of the table be? How far away from the walls will the center of each hole be? (I'm trying to figure out if my wall detection will prevent (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

  Re: O-Train

(...) Ah yes, good points. I just threw together a small test loop with some intentional grades (2 plate per track slope) and some uneven transitions (pieces of cardboard under the track). The couplings seemed to perform well, but then I probably (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: technic tread in starwars sets

(...) Search BrickSet or the Toy Fair pics I posted... it's in both those places. I look forward to that set for that reason alone... (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  One last Robolab comment

I think I've done about as much commenting about Robolab as is allowed by any one individual so after this post I promise I'll be quiet. First off, I got a very nice email from Dr Chris Rogers in which he explained some things about Robolab to me (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Re: Robolab's string

(...) The program I showed was the only way you can write a while (true) loop in Robolab with a break statement to terminate the infinite loop. It is Robolab's standard implementation of that good programming practice. My point was that strings (...) (21 years ago, 19-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)
