Re: Robolab as a tool for teaching programming

John, You make some good points regarding Robolab but I'll confess at the outset here that I'm a big fan of Robolab. After having used Robolab with my FLL teams the past two years I can say that it is a powerful tool that works well for teaching (...) (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

Re: searching for something to tighten the fit of overused LEGO pieces

(...) This is normal. (...) Actually, the preferred approach is to simply not rely on the strength of the stud friction alone to give the model any strength. Even when heavily used, the stud friction alone should be able to _hold_ your model (...) (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Reply 6: Issues vs. Mistakes

(...) I don't get it. How has the situation changed since Jake stated that the company wouldn't be switching back? We knew (unless Jake was flat-out-lying, which I seriously doubt was happening) that the people responsible for the color change, and (...) (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

Re: Reply 6: Issues vs. Mistakes

(...) I'm keeping out of the color discussions, but I can answer this one. The 'Beige' on the list IS what we know as Tan. At LEGO, this color is known both as 'Brick Yellow' and also 'Beige' - color number 05 on the LEGO color chip pallette. Quite (...) (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.color, lugnet.lego)

On Wed, March 16, 2005 6:34 pm, John Hansen said: (...) ... (...) wow. I guess I don't have a reply to that. My wife (not a programmer) has used Robolab. She said it was like making a flowchart. I assume you're suggesting Robolab has no flow of (...) (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Complete set list

(...) The list looks very nice. I only noticed that set 3673 (the steamboat) has a picture of the smaller motorboat set. I also saw the pictures of your Fabuland house which look also nice. Greetings, Sybrand (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.fabuland)

  Re: Deathstar playset MOC

This is the best LEGO Death Star hangar I have ever seen. It really does capture the look and feel of the movie. I am really impressed. Thank you for sharing! (21 years ago, 17-Mar-05, to lugnet.starwars)
