  Anyone want a 4778 biplane?

Hello folks, I've just returned from a trip on KLM (Royal Dutch Airline), who have a new airline exclusive set in their catalogue - number 4778, a single-minifig propellor biplane in a brown and yellow colour scheme (doesn't look as yukky as it (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Evolution of the minifig

(...) Thanks, Andrew. I've edited the essay to include both of those changes. Bruce (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.minifigs, FTX)

  Re: Evolution of the minifig

(...) Nifty! You might want to consider adding how initially, minifigs were used as children for maxi-figs. And it's not terribly important to evolution, but how the little stripes are drawn onto the neck-peg for proper face rotation. Hm. Also COULD (...)   Re: CEO-Letter // The answer

I'm not going to get into color change discussion, but Christian brings up a few points about other stuff that I'd like to take a few minutes to respond to. (...)   Re: Teknomeka Instructions

(...) The best thing about the Teknomeka instructions for experienced mecha builders is that they offer a base of joint tech that has been made very robust over several generations to support mecha from 2-2.5 feet tall. If you haven't built at this (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Cool new Lego sculptures at ToysRUs.... Wait a minute, is that?!?!?

Hello all! I just got back from a business trip to Ney York, where I just finished a HUGE commision for a family in Long Island. Had some extra time so I decided to check out the Toys R Us Megastore in Times Square (among other touristy stuff). I, (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: suggestions on a mixture of 2nd to 5th graders

Liz, I don't envy you. It'll be hard to keep the attention of such a diverse age group. From my experience, the 2nd and 3rd graders will be the easy ones. The 4th and 5th graders, well, I don't envy you. I am always impressed when I go to my (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.edu)

  Highschool FLL competition

A tiny bit off topic, but of interest to people in this thread. I mentioned in a previous post that we've been running a highschool FLL pilot program the last couple of years. Well FIRST and LEGO have decided not to support the highschool program. (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

If one allows things that are not produced or distributed by lego, then why can't one use non-official sensors? Why can't one drop the entire default firmware? Heck, why does a person even have to use the RCX in the first place and not a more robust (...) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: If I were a minifig...... ( bed & bath )

Very very nice models. (...) Not hard. I wrote these instructions a few years ago. They are really bad instructions (I know alot more about POV-Ray now...) (URL) you *really* want to do it, I could help. Some of my QTVR's (very old) (URL) (21 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed

(...) That's not a good reason at all. Robolab was not actually produced by LEGO. They happen to sell it on their website and they "partnered" with the actual producers of the software, Tufts University and National Instruments. They also happen to (...)   Re: Group MOC Study - Pirate Gunboat
