Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs! (no discussions here please)

I pretty much love LEGO unconditional. But the supply of the old colours will eventually run out. A lot of parts will not be available in the new colours for quite a while, so it is a problem for Moccers. How would you feel, if you had a car (...)   Re: Parts editing made easy, anyone?

(...) I should probably find then for what is LDraw library aimed at. If it's something like as perfect as possible renders or some quick mockup prototyping. (...) Wouldn't it be possible to be the parts as accurate as possible and then (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Cross platform GUI

Well I'm kind of of pissed. ** begin rant ** Curious to find an acceptible substitute for Java, I was looking into cross platform GUI toolkits. GTK+ came to mind but alas no Mac support for the latest version. Then I thought of Qt. I visited the Qt (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: No Comment

(...) Tim, That is great. And I know exactly what that feels like. Last week, a coworker and I got buried in 6 feet of code vomit. The monitor is a little big for MF scale but that's OK, it's very nicely made and believable. KR (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Sorting Bley and Chocolate Brown

(...) Me too! Light grey is light grey. Occasionally a new color piece really stands out so I simply discard it back into the tub and grab for another. My collection is still mainly old, so that procedure works well. The only real problem is my (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.storage)

  Space Shuttle at Zellers

Guys (and Janey) This is probably old news, but my local Zellers has the Space Shuttle (URL) On for $29.99!! I hope it's not a local misprint, but I got the last two here for Christmas/Easter/Bday gifts for my nephews this year. Cheers, Ralph (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Sorting Bley and Chocolate Brown

(...) I too mix all my greys. Having a mostly technic collection, I don't have much new brown, but it will be mixed in too. I have already built MOCs that mix the greys, and have no problem with it. If I build something that just has to be (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.storage)

Re: New Train Moc - Simple Red Caboose

THANKS EVERYONE! Not only for the compliments but for the courteous exchange! I have to admit that it feels good too! :) It was just one of those MOCs that just came together. I guess I have been so obsessed with building in rare colors that I (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEG007 – James Bond Models

(...) Silly me, I missed your post. Thanks for the Link. Shame you don't have a S.P.E.C.T.R.E. website to back it up like Evan does with is LEGO07 site though. You super-villian-wannabe you. You probably don't even like persian cats. That's why (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Sorting Bley and Chocolate Brown

(...) Hi there, good question! I have most of my parts sorted by type and then also by colour for the most common types. I have most of it (what is not kept in the original box, of course) in storage boxes with many (four types: 13, 17, 15-23 or (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.storage, FTX)

  Re: my first post :)

(...) All three of these are good, but Tapatio is my favorite. It's got the visual impact of an all-red color scheme, the proportions are good and "beefy", articulation and posability are excellent, and it's got character. I'm especially impressed (...)   Re: 2005 Sets

(...) One of our Sears in Ottawa has a few new Technic, X-Pod and City sets, and since they have 25% off this weekend I got a few sets. It is a bit disappointing that the turn table in 8419 is a new stud-less version. (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.ca)

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

Re: Johnny five IS alive - first MOC

Re: Parts editing made easy, anyone?

Well, file loading time, memory consumption, etc. etc. (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad.dev)
