Re: Town Hall - Micro Scale for Lego Factory Contest

(...) Thanks Marc! (cool name, btw). The grey windowsill 1x2 center-stud plates (my favorite piece) are sitting on top of another red 1x2 center stud plate to get the 1/2 stud offset. One other useful trick is to put them on top of technic bricks. (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Shuriken

(...) The sand blue is my favorite too, and I think in part it is because of the printed pieces, though I didn't realize that until you pointed it out. (...) If I can scrape together the parts, I may try one with either green or sand green, using (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Any NCLTC/LUG members living in Franklin, NC

I will be moving to Franklin, N. Carolina in March or April of 2005 and was wondering if any members live in that area. I'd like to get in touch by the time I make the move. Steven Weiser (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.us.nclug)

Re: Color change: Let's go straight to the CEO!

(...) Actually, The yellow minifig is not dead. I recall Jake mentioning at a Brickfest convention that the flesh-colored minifigs are only done when there's a likeness to a person, either in real-life or as an actor/person in a licensed product.   Re: Moonbase Module - Mech Bay 07

(...) Massive! I've greatly enjoyed your Mech Bays. This one ices the cake. This is exactly the sort of thing that we sit through the movie just to watch it get blown up in the end. I mean that in the most positive way. Oh, and way to use those (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Snip (...) Snip YAY John!!! Hooray for you! Well done! Welcome to the wrong side of the tracks..... and we can keep calling them "engines" if it makes you feel better?   Re: MOC: Shuriken

(...) I really like these, and I support your approach of building several; variations on a theme can lead to interesting solutions due to part (in)availabilty. While I like the insectesque(1) quality of the red and yellow ones, I do gravitate (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Red-Darkgrey themed ALC Orca Dropship and Supermodule

In lugnet.space, Trevor Pruden wrote: -snip- This was definitely worth the wait, after you casually teased us when you debuted the Orca (something like, "oh, by the way, this goes with a Moonbase supermodule that I built...").   Crossing over to the dark side...

Well, the pull of the dark side has finally overcome me.... I can resist it no longer... Dave my friend, you were right.... Chris, Rob, and Bruce - I am deeply sorry....   Re: 4679 tubs now $19.97

(...) Thanks for the heads-up Greg I went to the Saskatoon TRU to get my refund (or store credit in my case;-) and that was no problem, but alas, they were out of the bonus tubs. I was informed (further alas) that they won't be getting any more. The (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: MOC: Shuriken

(...) Cool! Yours is the third response, and the third different favorite color scheme. I agree the guns could look better if they were less blocky. I wanted them to be substantial and not flimsy, but I had trouble doing enough decent shaping at (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: One last Spring Cleaning set

(...) My local K-Mart didn't have the buckets on Friday for the BOBO, but they have them now for the 20% off sale. Priced at $8.49 at one Southern California location. The biggest difference from 4679 bonus parts is that nearly all the left/right (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: MOC: Shuriken

(...) Thanks for the compliments, Peter, I'm glad you liked these MOCs. You're suggesting a gun mounted just above the cockpit? I may try that, but I wouldn't want the gun to be in line with the exit vector of the dorsal missile launcher, so it (...) (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

any news on the dark blue boat?

Is there any news on when the dark blue container ship is going to be available? I would like to get one and a 10029 Lunar Lander before the latter disappears for good.   Re: Red-Darkgrey themed ALC Orca Dropship and Supermodule

Dude. That is some seriously sexy cool brick. I see now why you were unsure of the dimensions of the Sokalica! S I look forward to seeing it at the Novi Toy and Hobby Expo this weekend! Rick (21 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)
