  The New Face of 3vil

M3! (URL) Perhaps you've been wondering lately, "What has become of 3vil?" Or maybe you've been thinking something absolutely ludicrous like, "We have finally ridded ourselves of teh 3vil!" Thoughts such as these are hallmarks of the foolish. Did I (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !

Re: How LEGO FACTORY can stimulate AFOL interest (and sales).

I agree, transparent corner slopes would be awesome. But transparent bricks at Lego in the past (I know of a few cases) have had their own molds separate from similar ABS parts, engineered for the different properties of the plastic. So it's "new (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Which color 1x4 arches were included in the 500-piece bonus tubs?

(...) Those arches are probably Pink. The only parts I've seen in the new 2004 Pink are a plate and brush. Here's some pics: (URL) LtPink on Peeron was listed incorrectly. It is a color name used on Bricklink generally for Paradisa (pre-1995) pink (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.color)

Which color 1x4 arches were included in the 500-piece bonus tubs?

I am in a quandary here, as I have two possible color choices for the 3659 pink arches that are in the 4679's 500-piece bonus tub. However, peeron lists two quite similar sets which have very similarly colored pink arches in them. Can anyone from (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

(...) Rachel, Do they all say "LEGO" on the studs? Most of the 1949-56 Lego does not, 1957-present does. The 1x6 and 1x8 beams without posts (as they are known versus the tubes on the 2x bricks) were made that way until 1964 (until 1970 in some (...)   Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

Thanks Gary, I also have 1x4, 1x6, and 1x8, without cylinders. The colour of the plastic is slightly different too. Perhaps the men go with the lego and it's all 1978? It's in excellent used condition, not even scratched. but I don't have any boxes (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

(...) OK, Here's a few helpful tips. If 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 pieces have NO tubes underneath, and they have slots on 2 of the sides of the bricks, they are from 1949-56. If 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 pieces have NO tubes underneath, and they have NO slots on the sides (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: Appraisal of Old Style Lego

Thanks for telling me about bricklink, I'll have a look around there. I think that I may not have phrased my question clearly. I have some of the very first lego ever made. It is not regular lego. The bricks don't have cylinders underneath. And the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)
