Re: Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

(...) Weird - my recurring LEGO dream is very similar. I am in a Toys R Us (old-style with long aisles), and I find a bunch of 80s-era sets (in the yellow boxes) that never existed. Large Forestmen and Black Falcons sets are the most common "finds". (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Sort-of-poll: Your most common Lego dream?

I just had another of my most common (and most tortuous) Lego dreams last night. I walked into my local consignment shop (which supplies me with around 80% of all the Lego I purchase) and they had a huge selection of old sets that I'd never seen (...)   Re: Rule check

(...) I forgot to put it in before, but in previous events, if two towers touched each other, that was acceptable. They still counted as two separate towers. Scoring applies as per normal, the rules page has been updated. Thanks Wayne and RobA for (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

My first mosaic using my veneered bricks

Here is my first "planned" mosaic using my new veneered bricks. I made this for a church bazaar. (URL) Larger version at (URL) Uses 1x1's, 1x2's, 1x4's and 1x4's stacked three high.   Re: Missing dat files??

(...) Kevin The files you mention are _only_ in the "Base Parts Library" as packaged by the late James Jessiman, and have never been re-issued in subsequent updates. The "complete.exe" only contains parts issued since 0.27. To get the the full (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam

(...) I'll agree with both your pros and your cons. The backpack looks great, I like the hands, and the upper body is exactly right. I don't think the legs need to be longer, but I think they would be improved if they were "beefier". If you built up (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Tatsumaki

(...) This is really nicely done. I appreciate the in-progress shots, but with the black skeleton, it's a little hard to see the details. That's a lot of ball joints! Looks like an articulated "spine" too--he can do sit-ups? My suggestion--this mech (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Skeletal Balrog

(...) I really enjoyed this MOC, the piece usage was very creative (minifig arms as ribs, joints made of steer horns, I could go on), and you were very true to the miniature, as well. The pose sequence of going from a huddled-up state to (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Missing dat files??

Hello Everyone, I had to reload Lview and MLCad to a new computer. I updated with lcad0404.exe, ran MKLIST, and scanned for parts from inside MLCad. When I go through the bricks category, I get error messages stating that I'm missing the following (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Visiting D.C. Nov 16-19

Another member of ParLUGment and myself will be in the DC area from Nov 16-19 for a conference. It would be cool if we could hook up with other fans in the area - lunch, dinner, coffee, a trip to a LEGO store, anything would be cool. Not sure what (...)   Re: Rule check

(...) My 2 cents: A tower is a tower is a tower. What should score is the hight, not the number of blocks that make up that hight. SO I'd score any three layer tower as a 3 blocks in the fabulous scoring sequence for hight points, even if each layer (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Bunker, Manta, and Zoar

I dig the little outpost. I could see a smattering of them around the perimeters of a moonbase with tunnels leading to each one for quick access to hot spots. I do agree, there should be a small frap ray of some sort either on top of the main (...) (21 years ago, 11-Nov-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: YF-18 Orbital Interceptor

"Building time : 3 hours" Soren you're killing me! For building such a thing I need at least 2 weeks, coming back to it, rebuilding, etc... Once again your color arrangement is very eye catching.
