  Re: visit (and STUDFest Reminder!)

(...) While you are thinking along those lines, why don't we have a dedicated train day, while Martin is in the city. All we need is a large flat area, there are enough trainheads itching to let out their trains on a long leash. Could this be the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Slightly different picts for #4731

Wonder why LEGO went with (...) Not really... The (early) Lugnet version is from an early "leak" courtesy of 1000steine.de (which is why it is in German). The (later) Brickset version is the actual retail copy of the set. Lucious Malfoy is supposed (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general)

Re: >>15.2 MILLION EMAIL ADDRESSES...PLUS $2,000 IN FREE EMAIL MARKETING SOFTWARE!

(...) Yes, there is no difference between being on the crynwyr email list, and being subscribed through email to the LUGNet version of the list when it comes to receiving the messages. (I was subscribed to both for a short time once.) However when (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Slightly different picts for #4731

(...) His name is Lucius Malfoy...and he comes from a very rich and prestigeous Wizarding family, so I guess his "snotty" behaviour is somewhat justified. Ben (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.general)

  Re: The A.R.C.

(...) I think I sorta remember that... It interesting how everyone sees different influences in the design. Jon P told me it reminded him of a daddy longlegs, which I can imagine also... (...) thanks! I have had a few comments lately about 'my (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Another "borrowed" picture...

(...) Oh I'd bet they read them and then ignored or didn't understand what they read. Of course, then again I've grown more cynical lately. Mike (22 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Two new creations, MP-2 Visage II and the Long Range Mecha Transport Vehicle (LRMTV)

(...) Hey, it looks well worth the wait. (...) I tried removable armor once, just once, before deciding it was not for me. I tend to think that it is one of the cooler 'look-at' styles, but man, it is a real pain to get it that way. (...) Wow, four (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Zany Brainy deals

First saw these online, then stopped in and saw the same deals at my local store (check for a clearance section separate from the usual Lego shelves-- at my store, the clearance Lego was all the way on the other side of the store). Monsters -- all (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: instruction approaches

(...) My style is to do most of the building (and therefore most of the steps) in sub-models and then merge the sub-assemblies into the final assembly in a few steps in the top level file. I use as many levels of sub-models as is necessary. I never (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  Nose doors?

Hey all, I've noticed a detail on EMD Fs, Alco FA/PAs, etc (called Cab units, right?), that never seems to get modeled. The door on the nose of the engine. I know K-Line recently made an E7 with a working door in O-gauge, which is actually where I (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: lsynthcp community development project setup on sourceforge

<snip> (...) Thanks Steven. Comments like this are highly motivating. When I started writing LPub, I'd only just heard of L3P, although I new of POV-Ray from way back.   Re: Inferior colour rendering in this year's instructions

(...) Oh yeah... the quality of instructions, plus all the new colors, makes it difficult to build stuff sometimes. Back when there was only black, white, and grey, I had no problems telling the 3 apart. Now that they've added dark grey, I find (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: lsynthcp community development project setup on sourceforge

(...) Maybe we can look forward to it in the next version. (...) LPub is just an amazing tool. I was not a fan of POV-Ray and the LP3 conversion tool to create documents. However, using LPub has encouraged me to begin creating many more (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: >>15.2 MILLION EMAIL ADDRESSES...PLUS $2,000 IN FREE EMAIL MARKETING SOFTWARE!
