Sample Sensor readings for Drag Racing Competition

There's only a month until the Drag Racing competition at BricksWest, so rather than leave it to a last minute rush, why not start building your robot now? If you are considering attending, please send me a note so I can plan the event better. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.events.brickswest, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Another axle joiner...

(...) (URL) have a clue what the small dimple on the top righthand side is for? It's not present on the other side. Curious... Mark (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Help! Need part badly!  [DAT]

Tony, My rubberbelt generator (or the derived one included in MLCad) can be used to generate toruses using 4-4cyli primitive. Simply use two identical pulley diameters and a very small distance between them. See example below... Philo (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

  Re: LoTR: The Two "Towels"

(...) Yup, pretty much as I said (I got to butcher The Fellowship of the Ring long before Jackson did, but I claim - rightly or wrongly - the excuse that a computer game requires more liberties than a movie). ;-) (...) Walked off? "Pardon me, you (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

(...) 'The rails!' 'The SNOT!' 'The greebles!' 'The restaurant!' 'The food!' 'The people!' 'The clothes!' ... 'The *clothes*...' 'What? Oh yes, the clothes.' Seriously, this is the most beautiful thing I've seen for a long time. You've got (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Moonbase Module - "Purplestar" Interstellar Internet Connections

(...) Ahhh, you're right. Photography is not my strong point. Nor, does it seem, is it the strong point of my 5year-old digital camera. That's like 200 in human years, isn't it? As it seems more pics is a common request, I'll take some more in the (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Moonbase Module - "Purplestar" Interstellar Internet Connections

(...) Thanks! I'll take a couple more in the next day or so. (...) Everyone has their own tastes, I s'pose (actually I only really use it because I don't have much in anyhting else :) ) (...) Amazing what character you can add to a model with just (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.au)

  January 25th SMART Meeting

January 25th will be SMART's second anniversary. As usual, we are meeting in the Redmond library, room 2, at 2pm. The mini-challenge is to build a robot that can wander over a table, looking for, and stopping on a 2-inch black square, without (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.us.smart)

Re: New Poll // Train History

(...) I think you might be right Ben, we have been collecting Lego trains since 1972 and even bought a few used sets at that time. My trains have always had train wheels, initially with four studs (as you say) and later spoked. Some of the Lego (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Help! Need part badly!  [DAT]

(...) I got your Jack Stone steering wheel right here, baby! I cheated a little- it is functional in ldraw, but looks like... uh, something that rhymes with "species". But it looks great in POV-Ray. If I had a torus generator handy I could fix half (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

Re: Please join me in congratulating...

I guess it's time to shop for some Duplo, Scala, and/or Belville! Congratulations Kate and Chris. So when's #2 coming? :) Mario (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Over 5 ft tall! :) (...) Thanks! The elevator took quite a bit of SNOT-work to allow a fig inside and still get the symmetry on top and bottom. The elevator and the middle of the spire are about all that larger and the smaller version share. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Luna Spire Moonbase Super-module

(...) Yes, this will be coming to Brickfest. One thing I realized with the first design was that I hadn't made it very easy to transport, so I built this one with that very clearly in mind. The top slides right off of the elevator shaft. The (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)

  Spybots missoins (was Re: Packaging!)

I raised the issue of creating our own missions and what not and bricksinmypocket.org owner (sorry, I've forgotten your name) has kindly offered space there to trade missions. (...)   Preview .dat and .ldr in Windows Explorer?

How are those preview pics done that you can see to the left when Windows Explorer is set to view "As Web Page"? Wouldn't it be great if we could preview LDraw files just the same?
