Re: Now here's a big one.

(...) Cool! Of course, they could go modular with it - you can build the set in the phases of construction :-) Hey, we can dream, right? Brad, you listening? ;-) -Tim (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

Very cool. I like the detail you've managed to put into them at this small a scale. The underground detail completes the models, IMO. Nice. -Stefan- (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: What a downer :-(

Oh, COME ON. We go through this EVERY year. The new catalog comes out, people whine about no Technic in it. Technic is almost never listed in the first catalog of the year. There WILL be some nice Technic sets this year, they're just going to show (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Mecha (finally...)

You've got some very cool stuff on you're site. This awsome mecha makes me want to watch ghost in the shell again ;) (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: What a downer :-(

While I can't reveal my source, I can confirm that Paul is correct. Though the Technic fire truck I saw wasn't red but black and lime green, kind of like an airport fire truck. There is a yellow backhoe that looks quite large. Also there is a (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: My Adventurers ISCC entry

Very cool. I'm going to be stealing quite a few ideas from your pictures. Great use of the lions heads in the archways. I also really liked the flower in the vase, the fire excape, and the armoured cars were cool.... I usually buy adventurer sets so (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: ABS... but which one?

In lugnet.general, Pedro Silva writes:> (...) I fail to see the logic in this statement. These stories talk about how older bricks *today* click differently than new bricks *today*. But I have seen no reference to how well old bricks were when (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: 2002 Rocket list!

(...) Huh-- Now, this is odd. Using the search tool, I went back and searched for posts by me (Todd built in a little date checker-ish thing(1)) to see how I've done over the years: 1999 - 332 2000 - 354 2001 - 593 2002 - 300 Now, the interesting (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.people)

  Abston Church of Christ

Well, it's been up for a month and a half and is handling the traffic okay, so I thought I might risk an announcement... The Abston Church of Christ is back online. I've added some "...for dummies" style explanations about minifigs and other stuff (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.announce.moc) !

Re: Now here's a big one.

(...) Really frickin' huge :) The station is 240 feet across the solar arrays, 146 feet long, and 90 feet high. Using an extremely rough minifig scale conversion of 1:40, we're talking 6 feet by 3.6 feet by 2.3 feet. That would cover a tabletop area (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: (Drum Roll Please) SUPERHERO BRIKWARS

POW! ZAP! Ka-BLAM! In 2 weeks Megopolus will never be the same. This wonderful city of ours will be besieged by unthinkable evil. Who dares to stand against this devilry and protect the innocent? So far, I have: Shaun "HOT TONGS" Sullivan Neil (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: My New Website

(...) Well, I hope to see you present the story sometime in the future. (Reading about the characters is always interesting, and it is very tricky to write the descriptions without them turning out to be an all-out spoiler. I know from experience.) (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: What a downer :-(

(...) It woud make commercial sence as Megablocks make a large red fire engine. Fire engines I guess would alway be popular with parents and grandparents. In my opinion though a model team style model would have more appeal to the public. If it's (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)

Re: Now here's a big one.

(...) Oooo... I wonder how big that would be minifig scale[1]? I'd love to see a minifig scale set like that built with UCS quality and part quantities :-) And a true minifig scale Space Shuttle to go with it (sold separately) -Tim [1] Naturally, (...)   Re: Now here's a big one.

(...) How about a UCS International Space Station? Now that would be fun. Adrian -- (URL) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: ABS... but which one?

(...) Great research, by the way. I would have taken longer to find out LEGO references in Bayer's website, mainly because I were not *expecting* there would be any... turns out they are proud of their role as suppliers - and they have reasons for (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Now here's a big one.

(...) Adrian, I agree a UCS space shuttle would be awesome, I've been a big space shuttle nut since I was a kid and 8480 still tops my list of all-time LEGO. Unfortunately, I recently noticed a big Mega Bloks Space Shuttle at TRU. I have a feeling (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: ABS... but which one?

(...) Thanks for posting your experience, Allan. What I'm curious now is knowing how the more recent bricks will be in 25 years. If they look "less good" than the previous at this point in time, perhaps in 25 years they will have become *wrecks*. (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Felice LEGO nuovo!

MOLTO BENE! Prima di tutto auguri di (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.it)

  Re: What a downer :-(

(...) What, if it is true that's great news (and I said technic is alive did'nt I 8^)). But if it ain't, many people who have read your post may be very dissapointed. So please, we need some proof, some evidence. P.S what do you mean by shovel. Is (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jan-03, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.technic)
