  Re: Top 1000 noisemakers

Wow. I jumped from being tied for last last year (with 1 post) (I'd just gotten my membership), to 20th this year (with 592 posts). With that rate of growth, I'll squash Larry's numbers by Ground Hog's Day. Happy New Year's, all. Bruce Hietbrink (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.people, lugnet.admin.nntp)

  Re: BrickTopia Star Wars Museum

(...) As usual, excellent work Brad. I really like what you've done with the new 2003 parts. Had you planned on using the new parts for this building... and were just waiting for them to be available? Or did you look at the new parts and think "That (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: New MOCs: Some really tiny NYC landmarks

Sean, All very cool. I think my favorite little detail is how you put the road and the subway into the first one. It reminded me of some of those cutaway diagrams by that guy who does the "Amazing Cross Sections" books that show you the building (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.arch)

  Re: BrickTopia Star Wars Museum

(...) AWESOME use of the onion domes! I counted eight Slave I canopies; do you buy these sets complete, or get the parts you need over Bricklink? Very cool MOC! Nathan Wells PS: the Enron logo looks very ominous in the background, though. (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Roll Call! (((Almost 50)))

I think it would be best to leave it to people who ask/say they want to be on the list... If you really need someone for the 50th spot put me... I'm in major lurk mode right now, trying to finish up my 2nd degree and more certifications, though I (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Lego introduces L-gauge

(...) Thank you Steven for clearing this up. Upon doing some quick math with the latest SAH catalog; the above mentioned kit is actually better than it appears.   Re: Brick Sorting

(...) Another one of these threads is going to force me to finally do a full photographic documentation of my sorting system, I think. At 250,000 pieces, my collection is fairly large, and is sorted very rigorously. I'd say 99% of the pieces are (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks! That's my dream, working for LEGO. Just think; being surrounded by boxes upon boxes of LEGO and being paid for playing with a children's toy! Nathan Wells (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Problems with new part and S\3069BS01.DAT

In my problem description I didn't mention that I had actually included the part in an mlcad model, so effectively it was created as a Type 1 line. The solution to the problem though seems to have been removing the part from the ldraw models (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Roll Call! (((Almost 50)))

I think adding the good Dr Carney as #50 would be a nice way to round off the roll call. I don't think anyone would argue he's an enormous part of the castle community (even the spacers would admit that). Any objections? (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Problems with new part and S\3069BS01.DAT

I appear to have answered my own question, though I don't understand the answer :) It seems that if the part is located in the LDRAW\MODELS directory, the extended face problem exists. If the part is moved into LDRAW\PARTS, however, the problem (...) (22 years ago, 2-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
