Why are people buying Starwars Lego off ebay?

It is crazy if people are buying off ebay(that's probably like swearing to some people), unless they are foreign? Places like etoys have got most stuff. Also - is it true when people have been writing "Rare" when they talk about X-wings and (...) (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Damn - I was in Wellington recently but I only did the Toyworlds. Do you know if any of those stores have any pirate or soldier stuff? Have you been out around Masterton etc? If so are they any good? Cheers - Ben (26 years ago, 14-May-99, to lugnet.starwars)

WTB: Skeletons, maybe a dozen or so?

A bunch of flames would be nice, too. I'm just getting started and don't really have much to trade, so I could just offer somewhere around $1.50 a piece for the skeletons... 10 cents for flames?
