Re: new stuff on my site (coach, trolley...again, LEGO Logo art)

(...) I think Liquid plastic modelers cement would work reasonably well for glueing Lego bricks together since it is a solvent (and is intested for Polystyrene which should be sufficiently similar to ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) to work). (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.trains)

  SW shut out of SW

As promised, my report: As I was running errands this morning, I personally checked out three Targets and TRU Bloomington. Targets Richfield, Edina, and St. Louis had *no* SW sets, as did not TRU. After "strike four", I was feeling like I really (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mn.msp, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: new toolz

I've seen pipe wrenches 5 feet long and bigger, so this isn't out of proportion, especially in a mining environment. Though a huge ratchet and sockets would be more realistic, I AM glad for that new wrench - it will make a nice weapon in an AngryMob (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.general)

  RE: Sharp GP2D02

Scott, The reason I wrote mine the way I did was so that I could avoid disabling interrupts for long periods of time. If you don't care about timer interrupts or things like wheel encoders, either program should work fine. My program uses digital 15 (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: MPD Parts? (and a confession)

(...) Cool. I have it implemented and it works tolerably well. (...) modelling (...) Rokenbok is mostly not compatible, only the plates have the requisite nubs on them. But that is cool since you can build any Lego construction off the plates and (...) (26 years ago, 25-Mar-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Trip Reports?

Sorry to SPAM the group with my last message. It was written in haste, and meant only for Fred. Ooops. :-( I've got a trip planning page on BayLUG, and I need to update this a bit, since it was originally written for the Grand Opening. It still has (...)   Big Rig Truck for Big Rig Truck Stop or others

I have another new Big Rig Truck (5571) (its about $150 from S@H and pretty hard to find anywhere else since its been discontinued). and would like to trade it for a Big Rig Truck Stop set (6393).   Re: Polarity Switch = Pressure Switch

(...) Heck, I'd love to try some pneumatics, but you can't get a storage tank anywhere these days can you? All of the cool Technic kits are discontinued, no subs, (and while I'm whining) no shuttles, no tracked vehicles, only Throwbots and (...)   Re: Sets and bits'n'pieces for sale...

Michelle, Not to burst your bubble, but S@H sells a black roof pack for $5.50 that has 55 or 57 pieces in it, the only thing it doesn't have from your listing is the 1x3 and 2x3 slopes and the 3x2 peak, but it has more of the other ones you list.   Re: Help with pointers

(...) When you do pointer arithmatic, you work in increments of what the pointer points to. So if you have a pointer to an int, as in the above example, when you add one to it, you actually make it point to the next int, not the next byte or word. (...)
