Sorry to SPAM the group with my last message. It was written in haste,
and meant only for Fred. Ooops. :-(
I've got a trip planning page on BayLUG, and I need to update this
a bit, since it was originally written for the Grand Opening. It still
has useful info, but needs more, such as "wear your AAA (CSAA) member
card like a badge, to get your 10% discounts, since many of the cashiers
won't remind you or ask", and "bring your binoculars to see some of the
smaller details of the models in Miniland".

There were a couple of things that could have been improved upon,
and I'll note that in my trip page as well. I'll be happy to collect
other trip reports (Tom? Raymond? Russell?) and post them as pages on
BayLUG as well, and link them to the planning page.
I also have a bit over an hour of video from the park, and about
15 minutes of stuff at the LEGOfest, including more footage of the
Ron Kittle SHAY steam engine, and a detailed overview of the technic
gearing and pickup wheel that drive the pistons. There is also one
other segment with Ron, Larry P., and another LEGO Trainiac discussing
the finer details of Steam locomotives and design ideas. I'll make a
couple copies of the tape, and see how we can get that into circulation.
(I also plan to send a copy to the San Diego folks that hosted the
'fest, and to the PNLTC.)

| Hey c'mon you guys. It's been 3 whole days since you've got back from Carlsbad and I've only seen one trip report! Cough it up! I want everybody's take on the park.
