Re: How do you view your LEGO collection?

(...) [A] all the way, baby. I sell things only for the same reason you do - to make the stuff I keep cheaper. (...) Mostly the same here. I will confess that I get a certain amount of happy from having rare parts. I'm not certain exactly where it (...) (24 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Mirroring models

(...) Unfortunately none of the CAD proggies (that I'm familiar with) support an automated mirror function. Hopefully we can add that to Michael's "todo" list for MLCAD. If the wings truly are identical you can probably get close by copying and (...) (24 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: End of 9V train line?!

(...) To be honest, I don't think any AFOL has specific knowledge of the future of LEGO trains....yet;-) But I do know this: that rumors of the demise LEGO trains have been greatly exaggerated;-) I don't even know if they are keeping the 9 volt (...)   Re: How do you view your LEGO collection?

(...) I think my primary response is A, but there's a little bit of B in there too. If the bricks weren't so darned expensive I probably wouldn't worry about it that much, but since they cost me a fair chunk of change it's a lot easier to (...) (24 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: What's Left? (Classic)

(...) It could very well be that Walmart is just not carrying them anyone, either not until next fall or perhaps never again. This tends to be somewhat common as many retailers change what they carry for each season. Mike (24 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Multiple people/mass purchase/divide up pieces

(...) We (NALUG) have done this 3 times now, using a draft-style format, and it seems to work well. Basically, everyone chips in equally, we sort the sets into their component parts (all of one part goes in 1 pile), and everyone takes turns grabbing (...)
