  Re: Space World

I was considering pair.com, since it was recommended as being very stable. Anyone have any objection? ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.space)

Re: LEGO Company Welcomes Adult LEGO Enthusiasts

(...) Um, I'm not sure I disagree with James about anything. I'm mildly upset and disappointed when someone chooses to copy my work, but I'm also kind of flattered. Neither of those emotions translate into my actually *doing* anything about it, as (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Custom Built LEGO Sets in 2002

(...) Ding! This is why people's fears at giving LEGO the ability to market their models are bunk. If you figure out what pieces you need, you can create instructions for an ugly "alternate model", and build the real model when you get the parts. (...)   Custom Built LEGO Sets in 2002

I am cautiously optomistic about this entire revelation, but I am skeptical about whether or not they will have an extensive part/color inventory for us to use. If so, here is a scenario that I would consider: ---...--- For those of you who have (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.general)

  Re: Castle 200?.........please.

(...) Not anymore. In it's heyday, it was covered with whitewash, however, so it was indeed white. So if you wanted to play with knights in the Tower, you'd want a white White Tower- if you want to play with tourists, you need a tan White Tower. :D (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Massive Thought...

(...) Ya, but why haven't any more showed up? I mean, I don't think they made more than they had sold, given the time factor given (IIRC, the order time was like 2 months, rather than the normal 4-6 weeks). Even if only 3k were sold, then there were (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Castle 200?.........please.

(...) Are you perhaps referring to the halberds? A halberd is a polearm. It's supposed to be long. Good for knocking knights off horses. Yeah, sure it's a bit longer than is "realistic" but minifigs aren't realistically proportioned anyway. ~Mark (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.castle)

I have the UNICEF stuff up on my page, at: (URL) the bottom blurb...what does it say? 3000 sets made or so!. This holds promise, that small runs are _possible_, even if not _likely_. James Powell (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)
