I have mixed feelings about this device. I find it fascinating, for reasons I have yet to come to grips with. Apparently TLG does read this, I recieved the original catalog that I ordered yesterday... It's got all the Mindstorms and Robolab stuff plus lots of training kits for both. *Robot Science & Technology* is a fairly new magazine, and I give it my high recommendation. Issues 2, 3, and 4 contain a series, "Popular Micromouse Algorithms", by Tak Auyeng, PhD. I like the name "differtrans", personally. :) But that's just my opinion. With so many variations on a theme coming about, I have to wonder if anyone's come up with the "best" implementation -- minimal volume and using no unusual pieces (such as the (...) I assembled the expansion board and tested all I/O ports. Everything checks out fine. I have the 6500 sonar module with the flex cable. (...) May well be. When posting a DAT file to lugnet, you should set your line length to a higher setting, say 150 or so, at least. Then post your dat file. Aftewards, reset the length down to 80 or less for normal postings. See the threads "line (...) (26 years ago, 28-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

I've updated the hardware interface for my homebrew rotation sensor. On Sven Horstmann's suggestion (he said it was originally Bob Wind) I tried using a LM339 comparator in place of the LM324 Opamp. The LM339 did the trick. The RCX never looses (...) (26 years ago, 28-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)
