=>From: rajackson@qnx.com =>... =>I've not tried this yet but... in the new geared motor sets there is =>a clutch plate with a Newton marking on the side. Also there is a =>ratchet design in the Cyber Wars kits. They use a shaft extender that (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: TLG is loosing money!

I read in the WSJ a couple of weeks ago that the big toy stores like Toys R Us and WalMart etc also had a bad season, people are getting really bored with all the junk they sell, whereas the smaller speciatlity toy shops improved sales. Items like (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: is Mindstorm/RCX Y2K Compliant???

(...) That's the same thing. Regardless of what exactly causes it, it'll happen. Jasper (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: C++ compiler for dos

(...) You might want to be careful making these sorts of statements in a public forum like this. Technically Borland still has copyright on their compiler and this is still piracy (yes, I think its a bit silly since this product hasn't been made for (...)   Re: Robert G. Carney, Jr.'s castles!

(...) I too like Conwy better. Isn't it the one with the suspension bridge very close by. Everytime I see Caernarvon Castle, I think of Prince Charles 1969 investiture, where Queen Elizabeth II had a "bad fashion day". (No offense to the Windsors, (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Homebrew Rotation Sensor

(...) I thought so too, but you can't get the exact voltages you need this way. I tried to use a similar circuit to the input expanders that have been published, but no luck. It sorta works but it misses counts too often. A powered version with an (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: No way for a LEGO newbie to get up to speed? Unfair!

(...) Okay. You are definitely right on this one. However, the RIS is about $200 US for 700 some odd pieces. Clearly a great deal of the expense is going towards the electronic components which are not, strictly speaking, necessary for a universal (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)
