  Re: Autonomous Robot

in article 398F84B6.F9AE89A8@airmail.net, Steve Baker at lego-robotics@crynwr.com wrote on 8/7/00 8:55 PM: (...) Of course, if odometry puts you inside the circle, you don't need bar codes because you already know where you are! (...) True, and I (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Racial politics in LEGO

I must catch a flight in 15 mintues and will not have email for a few days, but had to post quickly: 1. No offense Scott S., but just because something has been discussed before does not mean it should not be discussed again and that nothing will (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Forced refresh of html pages instead of getting them from browser cache

(...) I read somewhere that not all proxy caches will observe this. Actually I think it said they only look at the actual headers, not HTTP-EQUIV. It doesn't hurt to cover all bases. See my other post for details. KL (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: About Parts file

(...) Is that several as in tens of parts or hundreds of parts? If it is only a few, you can most likely find them in lugnet.cad.dat.parts of if it's primitives in lugnet.cad.dat.parts...rimitives. Another problem could be that you're missing some (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Mark's Lego Creations Update!

(...) Probably after the 8/25 weekend - hmm what is going on for you around Labor weekend (10/2)? The 10/9 weekend and 10/16 are busy, but nothing after that until Oct. let me know about the Labor weekend. -mark (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.space, lugnet.loc.us.wa)

Re: A real live working LEGO Shelf railway...

  Internet Buzz is useful

Maybe Lego should take another look at how secretive they are about releasing new Lego set information. Movie buzz on the internet made The Blair Witch project a success and people we eagerly awaiting the opening day. I think Lego could be more up (...)   See Double Decker Commuter

I post this in response to some discussion concerning double decker commuter trains. This is a fairly old model. I built it back in March or April. It is still a version 1 model as I haven't had time nor inclination to modify it further. It is (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: NMRA 2000 Successful

I sympathize with your "end-of-station" pondering. I graveled with that issue for my mere two story monorail track as the front transitioned to the side, then on to the back.   I've been given this offer

The other day, my local ABS pusher wanted to know if I was interested in Scala, I told him no! :) (no offence) But he kept on wining about how he wanted to get rid of a set, that he apparently is having a hard time selling. He has 9 sets 3143, (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.scala)

  Just a question

Since lugnet is carrying the handyboard group, would it be okay to post here about things not exactly Lego (well, not Lego at all) but with interest to robotics folks?
