Re: Booth monitors and crowd control

(...) You rock dude! I'm wondering if Fred's Lego sign can be used in some way too.. maybe behind plexiglass in place of a section of skirting. -Tom McD. (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) It was friendly yet concerned, and extremely respectful and gracious. There were no veiled threats of any kind. It was also cordial and affable in spots, without being genial. A large part of it was explanatory. To be sure, it was not (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

RE: Booth monitors and crowd control

How about a sign supported by plastic 1 or 1-1/2"pipe going diagonally from corner to corner about 10-12 feet up with a cloth banner. Fred's logo sign could replace the lame bag I brought. Mark (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: 2001 Set info

(...) A Legalo man is a man who likes Lego but is concerned with Lego Legal matters. A Lego man isn't. His world is building Lego and unless Lego bring out minifig lawyers he has no interest in Lego Legal issues. Tim (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.general)

I agree with Todd's recent actions

Todd did the right thing in removing the price lists for the unreleased LEGO sets. Information was posted to this server which was of questionable origin. It is unclear whether or not the poster had the right to publish the information, and if LEGO (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Blue 4x4 RADAR dishes don't exist, do they?

I hope that I am wrong, but LEGO has never released blue 4x4 RADAR dishes, have they? Chris (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Legal Legal legal

(...) with (...) no (...) are (...) No, but what he is saying is that LEGO has to contact each of us and _ask_ us to sign a NDA, which there is not a _thing_ they can do to make us sign. In other words, once the cat is out of the bag, it is too late (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

Re: Booth monitors and crowd control

(...) The only problems with that are that a) we don't necessarily know the size of the layout in advance, and that kind of banner is a pain to adjust b) The plastic vertical support poles would require bracing, and would be easily knocked over by (...) (...) no (...) mell, are (...) Certainly not. A secret is only a secret if nobody knows about it. A leak is fair game and Target is hardly the CIA (...) By the way what is a troll ? Tim (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.lego.direct)

  Re: When we gonna BrikWar?

(...) Interested in gaming? Yes. Soon? No. I'm still in the process of reading and assimilating the rules of BrikWars, since I've never played it before. And none of the proposed times so far have been anywhere close to times when I could (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

Re: Will there be more Castle in 2001 ?

(...) Explain to me how Fright Knights don't fit in with other castle sets. <<KM>> Zoobomafoo! Wha-haa! (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.castle)

  Does this look alien???

Does this look alien enough for competition with my ships? I have a profile pic of one of the gunships and a pair of them beating the **** out of 3 Ultimas. The Battle! (URL) Profile... (URL) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

RE: Newly revised and updated web page

(...) Well, I've been working on it seriously for just over two months. I'd wanted to do the Transamerica building for quite some time and had been trying to think of how to do it. I had originally considered a more straight forward studs-up design, (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Booth monitors (look and feel)

(...) I hate to say it like this, but if it's a color that no one else is likely to wear, or that is a bit more eye-catching, it's more readily identifiable by several magnitudes. Yet I'm not saying that we dress up like "Hot Dog On A Stick" (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Shell Promos Still Available in California?

Well, I'm finally making my trip to LegoLand, CA, which means I'm Southern California-bound. So, do any of you folks out there know if the Shell promos, released THERE earlier this year, and nowhere else in the U.S., are still available there. Or (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Blue 4x4 RADAR dishes don't exist, do they?

(...) Well 6497 Twisted Time Train has 1 4x4 blue radar dish, but it has a black swirly pattern on it... I've got two of those if you're interested. Bryan (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

Re: Blue 4x4 RADAR dishes don't exist, do they?

Christopher, (...) If you are talking about the webbed radar dishes, they have. In 6985, I believe. Gosh, where is my set inventory when I need it? Pah! Scott S. -- (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Autonomous Robot

How exactly do the retroreflectors work? I was under the impression that you couldn't selectively reflect light unless you had a parabolic dish - and then it would all focus on one point. Do your reflectors have a convex mirror, or some other (...) (26 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics)
